@RussUK I'm going to say it, and it's not going to be popular.... if you're not playing competitive golf, you can do what you want with your putter. If you don't keep an official handicap you can keep anchoring that putter if you want. 

If you want to keep an official handicap and play competitively you will need to learn a different putting stroke - I'd suggest Matt Kuchar's style bracing the grip against the forearm but holding it there with your right hand for more stability like Bernard Langer, or go side saddle.

I've tried both with a 40" putter and they both work to some extent. It's what you're comfortable with.

Just breaking them.  Doesn't matter what it's called or looks like as long as they go in.

I think all Yes putters models are named lady names.

+1 , maybe you could set up anchored then move the slightest bit away as to not be "anchored" anymore.  I saw the guy on golf fix do this and was making putts not meaning to, his main focus was showing side saddle.
