Played in my Thursday evening 9 hole skin game and 2 of my buddies wanted to play 9 before that so I got in an 18 hole round. We had 6 birdies for our group on the first 9. I only had 1 and shot even, then came the big game I know skin games are more luck than skill when you and the competition are equal but I'm having a very bad run this year my birdies and even eagles are being tied at an alarming rate. I shot 3 over on the back and donated again YIKES!!!
Gonna play a casual round with my son-in-law today watch I'll blister the course lol

Played this morning and was pretty lucky to get it finished before the rains washed the course out. Shot an 88 after starting triple-triple. Was pretty cold and boy did it show. So I guess I was 10 over for the last 16 holes and it could have been, the number of par putts that there THIS close was frustrating, but hey that's whats it's all about.

Shot a 92 with a 47 front nine and 45 back. It was a good round by my standards except for a huge blow up on hole 9 with a drop and a 4 putt for a 9 on a par 4. Also had a few errant drives in the woods that cost me a few extra shots to pitch back out. With a little better course management it could've easily been in the high 80's which would be great by my standards. I need to start leaving my driver at home, when I kept it in the bag I was hitting my 19* 3 hybrid a solid 220 straight on tee shots.

Great day of golf today. Won the local saturday comp. Playing stableford played a pretty good 18. Good all round golf. 39 points. 78 off the stick. Birdied 15th.

I'd like to dedicate the win to thesandtrap.com lol but seriously i've got so much advice on how to think about each shot and i've been taking stats down to helo my weak parts of my game and its worked a treat.

85 today; 3 over on the much harder front and 10 over on the easier back. All fell apart on 10. Tried to get too cute with my 3rd shot on a par 5. Only had 45 yards to the green, but was in thick rough. Opened 60 degree and didn't swing hard enough, plugged into wall of bunker and took two shots to get out....

Just got in, shot 87; 45-42. Had 3 3 putts which is disappointing. Had one disaster where I had a treble on a par-4 after a poor drive and a silly double on a par-5 after hitting my lay-up shot too far -doh!!

Scored a 83 on a par 67 course today even with 3 putting five times. I really need to get my putting back on track. I am so lost on feel out there lately.

A horrible, horrible 76 at Lake View . I think I hit one shot solid. I can't stand the TM Tour Burner TP driver (see the Marketplace, where it's for sale ).

I played two rounds today, shot a 79 for both of them (Par 69 course).

Over all it was a good day, was making great contact and had nice straight shots, except of course when I was over swinging, but my swing is finally becoming very consistant.

The rounds were almost identical, my first 9 for both rounds were really bad, but the second 9 were really really good. Its kind of funny because my first round the front 9 was bad and the back 9 was good, my second round I started on the back and it was bad, but the front was good. One day I will figure out why I do so bad on the front half...

Played 9 before it got dark out tonight and I shot a 34 which is my best ever. My prior best is actually a 39 so this is QUITE a spectacular round. At least four one putts, with three of them being over 20 feet and the last putt was a right to left downhill 25 foot par putt. An absolutely incredible round.

Well, I'm new here - so hello! I just started hitting golf balls about 6 weeks ago. I've hit a ton of balls at the range and in the back yard. I've read and read and read some more - and watched the golf channel - and then read more.

So I finally made it to a golf course last week in a work tourney and scored a 133 (72 course). I couldn't hit my driver straight to save my life. But I hit two beautiful shots with my 3W off the ground that saved the whole day for me (enjoyment wise).

So TODAY, I ventured out on my own to our course here at Andersen AFB, Guam. It's family day so it's suppose to be slow - but my goodness...no families, just a bunch of slow adults.

Anyway, I dropped my score to a 118 using my 3W off the tee instead of my driver. Came ohh sooo close to my first 2 pars.

1. Par 5 - my third shot from the fairway lands to the right of the green but about foot out of bounds in some thick jungle. I knew where my ball went in, but couldn't find it. Dropped it right at the edge of the jungle. Pitched and 1 putted. If the jungle would have moved a foot back and let me have my ball - would have parred.

2. Par 4 - on the green facing a long 20' putt for par. Went right to the hole and STOPPED hanging on the edge. If someone would have breathed on it, I would have had my first par.

Anyway - so that's my second round of golf - with MANY more to follow. Got my club membership today!
