Lob Wedge Technique and Bounce

One of my better strokes is with the lob wedge. I recently upgraded and purchased a new 60 degree lob wedge that has a 10 degree bounce. I love the club, but just wondering about the 10 degree bounce. What exactly does this mean and how can I use it to help my stroke? Any thoughts?

One of the most difficult shots for me is that 45 yd lob shot. I've tried to own it. I can hit the partial LS at about 55 yds but any shorter and things start to fall apart with it. I can hit the 45 yd shot with my SW and check it pretty well, but I tend to blade it with my LW or come up way short. When I've stuck this shot with my LW it's ended very well - tight to the flag, but that's not happened all that often. Not as often as with my SW. Out of bunkers, I use my LW without much difficulty.

Yes, the LW can be a bit tricky at longer distances and you really have to stay with it and keep down through the shot. I used to use the LW for everything, but decided to us an A wedge for those mid distances and let it run up to the hole. its just a hifger percentage shot for me. I reserve the LW now for those lies where I have bunker or hill in front of me and/or the pin is up close to the fringe and not much green to work with.

      Day 216 (4 Dec 24) - Dink and roll Weds - working on the green side short game covering 5-10 yd chips to low running pitches to about 50 yds (I have accommodating neighbors).  Focused on keeping stance more narrow, eye target about 2” in front of the ball AND not looking up until I see the ball leave.  This drill has really enhanced my confidence in making more consistent ball strikes.

      As a supporter of the European team even though I chose to live in the US, this is kind of good news. I'm pretty close to Bethpage, but won't be going at these prices. Neither will the crazy drunk NY sports fans who would have made this a very difficult place to play as a Euro. The tickets will go to the city types who are entertaining clients and don't care about the money. Many of them are going to sit there and watch, not get all raucous. I am not dumb enough to believe that this is going to be like a Sunday afternoon stroll in the park for the Euros, but I think it will be significantly more subdued as a result of the prices. Even at $250 I would probably have been watching on the TV anyway so no real skin in the game.
