Do you often hit thin shots with your irons?

Pretty often. . .especially off mats. On grass, I hit a little bit better.

I topped the hybrid on the course trying to make a recovery shot after I hit a tree with my driver from the tee box rough. The next shot off a flat airway lie was pretty nice. Ended up 20 yards short of the green. Also, hit it off the tee and crowned it because I teed up too high, but the approach was a nice solid shot in the wrong direction landing right into the green side bunker. In general, my performance for this type of club was pretty much yuck.

Practiced at the range today. I hit one bucket on the grass section. Worked on my transition piece from A4 to A5. Im really focusing on my right elbow position to A5.

I'm playing a round tomorrow, so today I hit a bucket of balls, focusing on driver (SV4 baby!) and mid-irons.

Partial wedge shots have been a glaring weakness for me, so I spent about 15 minutes hitting partial wedge shots (25%, 50%, 75%).

Played 9 today in 43F weather. No wind. Beautiful day. Focused on one swing thought to squeeze the butt and hips forward from A6 to A9.

Played 12 holes. 2 birdies, 7 attempts. 2 doubles, 4 bogeys, 4 par on the 6000 yard course. One 3 putt.

Practiced my timing.

Beautiful weather, 65F and sunny with scattered clouds with deep blue skies.

Hit a bucket at the range after work today. Im still focusing on my transition using slow swings. I also was being conscience of the length of my backswing.

Happy Thanksgiving.  Played yesterday and today.  Hit the ball well for the most part, and rolled some good putts.  Had one blowup yesterday, which prevented me from breaking 90 for the first time.  Made a hideous 12 on the 17th.  Finished with a 94.

Today I had a number of hooks off the tee.  I usually play a pretty straight shot with driver, so I aim for halfway between center and left edge of the fairway.  This resulted in a number of OB left drives.  My approach shots were decent, as was my putting.

Almost finished reading LSW.  I'll be back to dedicated practice tomorrow.

Chipping "almostgolf" balls into a shoebox in the living room, and practicing putts from about 9 feet, also in the living room.

I'm not addicted or anything. Honest...

Practiced into my net today. Still working on my transition and right arm position at A5. Also worked on putting in my living room. My instructor just got a Sam Puttlab. Im excited to be able to use it.

Hit a bucket of balls with my driver. Trying to figure out how to stop hooking the ball. It seems like I either get a hook or a push. Couldn't seem to find the middle ground today.

Consider Lydia's grip...especially bringing the small finger of the right hand in under as she does with the bowing of the right wrist.

Note: I do not answer direct questions or points raised against my untested and unproven theories, have no history of teaching anyone, and post essentially the same nonsense in everyone's Member Swing threads.

First 100 shots were terrible. Then I started to play the simulated game. I started off pretty badly, but started to focus better on the shots and eventually did okay. Starting to really like the newly acquired hybrid, I was able to get a few nice shots. Not a high percentage yet, but still nice.
