1: at 32 years of age, my mom got to see me play golf for the first time. Shot one of my best rounds ever an 88.

2: after an awful 54 on the front, shot my best nine ever on the back with a three over 39 with my new Golf buddy Brian. We gave eachother lots of flak and had an absolute blast that day!

3: getting a friend equipped and teaching him just enough to start playing golf.

For 2016, I hope to have my lovely wife see me play. My game has improved tremendously since she last saw me play three years ago. Handicap went from 34 to 21.

1.)  My brother's wedding last summer was pretty cool.

2.)  Road trip from Denver to Salt Lake City with my dad in December.

3.)  I came up with an idea for a land surveying tool that I'm cautiously optimistic about developing.

When my daughter started her collegiate softball career, she was not a home run hitter.  However, her coach wanted to gear her for power.  He told he she could hit 50 home runs if she focused on that goal.  While she was proud of several records she holds at her school, her home runs records stands out.  The old school record was 28 in a career.  My daughter was playing on the road against a 1st Team All American pitcher who had not surrendered a home run all year.  She hit #49 in the first game of a DH and #50 the second game off of this pitcher.  This stands out because the next weekend, she tore her meniscus and so was injured the rest of the year.  Still, she was an All American again and ended her career with 8 school records.

Coach (me) to player, "Hey, what percentage of putts left short never go in?"  Player, "Coach, 100% of putts left short never go in."  Coach (me), "Exactly."  Player, "Coach what percentage of putts that go long never go in."  LOL!

Damned impressive.  As a dad of a high level girl athlete myself, something I can definitely relate to and celebrate!
