Holy Shit! Rumour is, Slash and Axl have buried the hatchet and will putting the original line-up together for shows in April 2016.

Still plenty of time for this to go off the rails, but I can't help but get a little excited.

I'm hopeful the chemistry is there and GnR 2.0 will be more The Force Awakens than Phantom Menace, but sadly, I am thinking it's more likely to fall into Jar Jar Binks territory.

There's no doubt that Slash is still awesome, but I dunno 'bout Axl. He's pretty Jar Jar-ish...

Yours in earnest, Jason.

Slash has developed his playing skills to ridiculous levels. Axl, not so much. I remember in the past there was really no Slash lead I couldn't play, but I have seen a couple more contemporary performances with Miles Kennedy and others and he now does stuff that makes me go, 'Huh??? WTF was that?' Dave Grohl said if you hang with him you will find there are very few moments every day when he does not have a guitar in his hands..

Yup, Slash is a Rock and Roller to the dirty end, Axl, a problem child plain, and simple.  I love the idea of them reuniting but the reality will probably be disappointing.  Axl was never a great live performer as it was, add 20 years of drugs, boozing and "Mmmmm Taco Bell" runs to the border and I don't see this panning out the way he may envision it.  I hope I am wrong but we will see, that is, if they can even get it off the ground to start.

i have to disagree about Axl not being a great live performer.  full disclosure, i have never attended a show but i have seen plenty of concert videos and what ive seen is a dude who absolutely COMMANDED your attention, and he controlled the entire audience. few guys had the charisma and cool-ness factor that he had in the prime of their run.

IMHO, you can keep Axl. Miles does renditions of 'Sweet Child', 'November Rain' and others that have ginormous vocal depth, range, and expression. Personally, I wouldn't spend $200 per ticket to see the reunion. I'm scoping out a new driver...
