I just found out that the tournament I am playing in two weeks from now is sponsored by Maserati.  That's not a big deal, what is a big deal is that the hole in one prize is going to be a Maserati Ghibli Q4.  Are you kidding me?  Entry fee into the tournament is a little over $50, what a deal.. The best part about it is that the hole in one prize is usually on the hole that I hit my one and only hole in one.  Can I do it this time?  Wouldn't that be something?  I would just sell it, and take the cash!  The tournament is going to be a two ball texas scramble, but I guess it doesn't really matter since the prize is an individual one (i.e. hole in one).

Go ahead and share with us the best tournament prizes that you have played for?  Was it a trip?  Cash?  Car?.. You can include the best thing you have won if you like!

The Best tournament hole in one prize was at the American General Contractors Scramble I played in probably around 2004.  It was a Skid Steer.  And I came within inches of winning it.  I remember the ladies around the hole start jumping up and down as my ball got closer to the hole and lipped out, as you couldn't see anything but the flag from the tee.

One of the tournaments they have around here offers a car for a hole in one on one of the par 3s.  We got to the hole 180 yards was the number that day... I hit my shot immediately I knew it was way right(into a bunch of trees), I turned away in disgust at myself while everyone else watched then started cheering I turn around to watch it roll right over the hole and to the other side of the green.... Bummer, oh well had a Mulligan to use so me and my team all used ours and I got up again,  stick the ball 3 foot from the hole..... I've never been more upset to be putting for birdie.

A decade ago or so, I qualified for the $1,000,000 Challenge.  Over the course of a summer, they had a "Closest to the Pin" contest at a dozen local courses.  $5.00 to enter, closest to the pin for the day qualified for the final.  If you hit the green you won a hot dog and soda pop at the turn.  Woo hoo!  So I plunked down my $5.00 and put the tee shot to about 2 feet.  I was excited about the birdie and collected my hot dog and drink at the turn and then forgot about it. I figured with several hundred entrants for the day, someone would be a foot away.

As luck would have it, I won that day's event.  In September, they filmed the 12 winners as we attempted to make a hole-in-one on a hole about 180 yards long.  The event was a 1/2 hour TV event shown locally that winter.

There were no aces.  Sigh.  Back to work the next day.

Best tourney prize ever...Im gonna go with the only prize ive ever won in my life. A brand new box of pinnacle gold golf balls! It was actually my ball of choice way back then and since its the only thing I ever won, I was pretty stoked.

They still give away cars for par 3 contests at outings? At all the outings I see they cop out with a 2 year lease, lame.

    • 43 (6 over) Couple bogies, couple Pars, a birdie and no doubles. Not bad for first 9 of the year.
    • Most the stuff I found on Instagram and just copy and mix it up. a few of my favorites: Clean>Squat>Press> March Around the body >catch >Squat> press I also hold a the kettle bell upside down with both hands on the handle. Squat when I stand back up I lift the kettlebell up over and behind my head and hold then repeat
    • Not sure this is the best thread but, if the rain holds off, today is my 1st round of the year.  Getting ready I can not find my Shot Scope.  I guess I put it away too well for the winter and thus that is may "Winter Depression".  I'm sure I put it somewhere that made sense at the time.
    • 44+39 for an 83. Figuring stuff out.
    • Day 288 - putted on my mat for a while listening to a presentation. Checking my head movement in the mirror, then just focusing on a good stroke.
