I have posted a few things but never introduced myself, sorry. I am a retired 100% Disabled Veteran from the Vietnam War. I live in the mountains of Arizona. I have worked in several fields with a degree in electronics. Also have done some hard labor in my life and owned my own corporation. I try and keep an open mind as I think others should too. Golf has ben an important part of my life and I'll play it until I physically cannot get to a course. LOL I have been a member of a major USA golf forum since 2005 but it is getting too contentious, with no respect for other members. That's time for me to leave. My philosophy is live and let live and like what you like and don't take crap from anyone. Sometimes that means minding your own business. I want to have fun when on a golf forum. Isn't that why we all join? Also to discuss my hobby/obsession. Hopefully I can learn some things and maybe contribute for the greater good. Cheers, Parman

Thanks all for the nice replies. I realize all golf forums get contentious at times. I think respect for other members is most important. Now it looks like our snow is melting and temp rising so I will be able to play in a day or two. :-)

Welcome to TST, although sometimes people may get contentious here, rarely with members who have been around for a while does it stay that way.  I have had my share of disagreements with people on here and yet still think well of them, they are topics and opinions.  The staff does an excellent job of not letting things get out of line.  Plenty of information on everything you can think about on this site, and if you can't find it, you can start a thread on it.

Enjoy your stay here.

    • Okay, I'm genuinely curious about this "biodegradable leather" trend in golf. Are we talking snake oil here? I mean, golf balls, clubs... they all end up in the water eventually. Is this just greenwashing, or is there actually a real environmental benefit? And honestly, does it even perform as well as traditional leather? I don't want to sacrifice distance for the planet, you know? Anyone with real-world experience with these eco-friendly golf goods? Spill the tea!
