I'm surprised it's already March and not a thread made (obviously no GS fans) well I think this could be the single greatest season by any NBA team if the Warriors beat the Bulls regular season mark of 72-10 ( another NBA title of course) which despite laying an egg last Monday in LA they bounced back and beat Orlando for 45 straight (new record) home wins, has to feel pretty good for the Warriors season ticket fans. It also looks as though the # 1 seed in the west will probably need at least 70 wins this year SA is only 3.5 in back of GS right now at 53-9.

GS is really playing an amazing season.  With the way SA is going though it is no guarantee that GS will reach the finals.  My view is whoever gets through in the west will win the title.

SA I feel is going to force GS to win 70+ games this year in order to get the #1 seed, I think the Spurs will wind up with 68 - 69 wins this year just amazing that would be a run away #1 seed any other year. I just can't see any team beating GS 4 times in 7 games it's taken 63 games just to lose 6 games this year.

@flopster, if it was anybody else but SA in the western conference finals, I would have said GS definitely in the NBA finals and probable victor of the title, but SA is playing well enough to be able to defeat GS.  Yeah, getting 68 to 69 wins and not topping the league is ridiculous.  Shows how well GS is playing.  Also, think only two teams have ever scored 70+ wins in the NBA.  Chicago and LAL if memory serves me.

We are going to know a lot more after the 19th IMO, if GS wins convincingly and ends the Spurs home game streak as well I think a psychological edge will be in the Warriors favor for some time leading up to the final 4 games were the teams face each other twice in 3 days, depending on how these games go and if the Warriors prove too much for the Spurs I will be of the opinion OKC poses the bigger threat, the Warriors had to have a few miracles to win the game in OKC and I think if KD and Westbrook play well they match up well, OKC doesn't play defense very well but they can light it up too.

GSW has been amazing all year. I impressed by the how the old guys in SA still win games. They are obviously a well coached Spurs team year in and year out.

I'm currently a fan of the East teams. Raptors/ Cavs and Hornets are the ones I follow more closely.

Looking forward to the playoffs!

They've really nailed the transition by adding Kawhi Leonard and LaMarcus Aldridge. Those two are perfect compliments to the core of Dunca, Ginobli, and Parker.

1971-72 Lakers were 69-13

1996-97 Bulls were 69-13

1995-96 Bulls were 72-10

Golden State is 60-6, they have to go 13-3 to break the record, three of their remaining games are against the Spurs including 2 in the final week.

Even if GSW doesn't go 73-9 they could potentially not have a losing streak the entire season, something in the 70 year history of the league, has NEVER happened. Even the 1995-96 Bulls lost back-to-back games during their 72-10 run.

The 1985-86 Celtics 40-1 home record will either stand, be tied, or the Warriors will go 41-0 at Oracle. It will be an interesting final month of the season.

San Antonio, poses the biggest threat to Golden State. They have veteran leadership and perhaps the best coach in the league...

The East is like the B Flight of the club championship... No one has clinched anything, and Toronto is better than I give them credit for.

Well it is going to be someone else now, OKC I felt had that athletic edge over SA and now they get to face GS in the West finals, not saying SA is going to be fading away anytime soon but I think beating GS in any playoff format is becoming more less likely with each passing season.

    • Day 430 - 2025-12-04 Slow motion backswings (with chippy shots) with AlmostGolf balls.
    • Day 24 (4 Dec 25) - Spent about an hour working with the new 55° wedge in the backyard.  Kept all shots to under 20yds.  Big focus - not decelerating thru downswing and keeping speed up with abbreviated backswing.  Nothing like hitting a low flighted chip with plenty of check spin and then purpose to float a pitch of similar distance.
    • Day 114 12-4 Put some work in on backswing, moving the hips correctly, then feeling over to lead side. Didn't hit any balls was just focused on keeping flowy and moving better. I'll probably do another session tonight and add in some foam balls.
    • Didn't say anything about your understanding in my post.  Well, if you are not insisting on alignment with logic of the WHS, then no.  Try me/us. What do you want from us then?? You are not making sense. You come here and post in an open forum, question a system that is constructed with logic, without using any of your own and then give us a small window of your personal experience to support your narrative which at first sight does not makes sense.  I mean, if you are a point of swearing then I would suggest you cut your losses and humor a more gullible audience elsewhere. Good heavens.
    • I have access to far more data (including surveys and polls) than you do with your anecdotes. I mean this as plainly and literally as possible: you’ve demonstrated that you do not. They would, one way or the other.
