There is one better, he plays out of Cedar Crest in Dallas (was the head pro there in the 70s).  At 81 also, the guy is phenomenal:  still hits his driver 230 and I played with him as he shot a legit 1 over, 73.  I told him HE had to be the best octagenarian in the entire world.  I think he'd beat Arnie or even Jack right now.

It is very impressive and inspiring to see guys maintain this ability.

Well there's no Like button but you gotta give kudos to these old boys! My dad is the reason I started playing and at 79 he still whips my butt! If I can figure it out I'll post a pic of the man who told Michael Greller No Thanks'  I can carry my own damn clubs!

If I can play golf at age 81, I'll have achieved one of my life goals. Staying in shape, staying healthy, being able to enjoy more things in life at that age.

As long as it doesn't interfere with my pub life, I would agree !!

My father is 88, and still playing. He still walks 9, occasionally. Last year he asked for a new 5 wood for his birthday, and now, just like everybody else, he is looking for the magic driver that will give him 20 more yards. A couple years ago, he complained about the pace of play because he got behind some old guys.

I can't stand the slow-mo videos.   Please....if you share a clip....make it full speed!!  Slo-Mo is BS.....

The David Woods clip was impressive! That old man can play!  I play with a man that is 79...... he hits the ball 210yds...ish......plays a 5' draw on every shot and barely strays a couple degrees from the center line on every shot.  He chips/putts insanely well....and shoots his age on a regular basis so I can relate to this thread.  I've seen this guy card an even par 72 when he was 77.
