Funny how women keep telling us that they are equal to men and should be paid as much money as us etc etc. They have to have their own tees though LOL

Seriously? That is your contribution?

A misogynistic, 19th century line of thinking?

As a 25 handicap who plays about the same as a 18/17 you might consider using those same ladies tees? Just saying. . .

9wood, enjoy the new club and remember that you are shooting scores better than most golfers plus there are many other hybrids that may help your game.  A 220 yard drive is fine for the middle tees on most courses, and the hybrid is just one of several tools a golfer can use throughout a round of golf.

Thank you for that post. I very well may look into a couple of other hybrids, maybe the 5 - 8'

My current bag contains the following clubs - Driver, 3 FW, 5FW, 9W, adjustable 3-4 hybrid, 6 iron, 7 iron, 9 iron, PW, 56 degree wedge, putter.

I know the 9W seems like a strange club. It's an old beat up looking Wilson Wild Thing, but it works so nice on par 3's. It's pure vintage

My most consistent clubs, my only hybrid a 4 hybrid, my SW and my PW.   My current clubs that I use Dr, 3w, 5w, 4h, and irons 5 thru LW (PW, SW, LW).  Next set I'm thinking 3 hybrids and the set would look like this: Driver with a high loft, 4w, 3h. 4h, 5h, and irons 6 thru LW (but maybe even 4 hyrids through the 6h).

I love hitting the 4 hybrid and feel more confident with that in my hand than a 6 iron.  As such I certainly don't mind a 400 yd plus par 4 that requires a hybrid.

For me, getting a par (or even a birdie) on a 400 yard plus par 4 with a long approach is way more fun than going through a round of driver short iron on all the par fours.   (note the "I" and "me" first person narrative.  I'm not telling "you" what you should do to have more fun.  I'm just saying what is more rewarding for me.)  Number 4 at Torrey last Friday was really fun...

Intetesting interview with Tom Watson about playing in his final Masters. He said time to hang it up because AN is too long for me, I can't hit and  hold greens from the distances of my approach shots. While others are going for birdies and pars I am scrambling.
