Modern course design. Do they really expect us to walk these things?

It's not a good course for walking. TC is my former home course and I played 160 rounds there in 2013-14. A local high school team practiced there walking one day a week and it took forever to get around them and they were considerate about letting carts through. The clubhouse to first tee is probably 300 yards, between 9 and 10 at least double that. Other long stretches are 6 to 7, 7 to 8 and not many if any walking friendly holes on the back. As much as the distance between holes there aren't many where a walker could cut through pretty much have to walk the path. Only time I ever saw walkers out there was the school team. Even cart path only days are rough there using a cart.

Most of the courses I've seen that aren't friendly to walking don't allow you to walk at all. They just give you the cart and the cost is built into the greens fees. That being said, I don't like
