Putting, putting, putting...and then some more putting. Chipping in the back yard, and trying to play on those occasional 45+ degree days here in Colorado, any colder then that and I stay inside.

I buy good weather by going down to FLA once a month for 3 or 4 days and do nothing but play or practice golf. Good deals to be had November and December, but January to March is a little more expensive. After all these years, I am really getting to know Florida well.

Kill slow play. Allow walking. Reduce ineffective golf instruction. Use environmentally friendly course maintenance.

Awards, Achievements, and Accolades

Due to the Perma-frost up here from now to the middle of April, there really isn't many places to play...out doors that is. We have a couple of in-door ranges here as well as some golf simulators.

I will go back to the gym to try and get more like Tiger, however finding a good golf related workout is tough. Any one know of any places online or books that offer a great workout program? I am looking for strength and flexibility.

I highly recommend a book titled Ultimate Flexibility by Sang H. Kim.I have incorporated most of his programs into my martial arts classes I teach. My students all notice how much better they feel after they have warmed up for class and the injuries,(torn muscles, etc.),have been greatly reduced.Book sells for around $20 or so.good luck

My plan... prayer, and a little chipping and putting indoors.
I don't mind our cold, but you can't play golf in a lake!!

I plan on working on my putting during the winter. I don't like the cold that much so I'll work on my game indoors.

I just put on thin layers and still go play. Now lately it's been snow covered so there's not much I can do there except go to the heated range about 5 minutes from the house. But if it's relatively dry, I hit the links.

Hey swinging a driver under water might be a good work out if you could get past the hypothermia.

Not playing at all, no point my back is screwed and its too cold to play anyways. I will be hitting the gym and trying to get myself into the best shape i can for next year.

Although i would be carpet putting if i didnt have hard wood, would work out well if i was playing in a US open i guess.

Ahh, an Ohio winter yet again. Yay

Where are you going to play in Columbia, SC? It's been really nice here for the past week or so. It got up to 76 on Monday, 78 Tuesday and Wednesday and it should be in the upper 70's again today. Great weather for golf. Of course when the weather is like this I tear a muscle in my right shoulder and I can't play for at least two weeks.
