The TaylorMade rac MB TP are probably the sexiest modern clubs I've seen and then for a classic blade look I like my Ben Hogan Apex.

Ok I hate to admit it but I love the look of the Maltby MMB muscle backs, the combination crome and satin finish in a muscle back is just hot, plus they are an awsome feeling club, forgving as a CB with the look of a Muscle!!!

Mizuno's MP-67. Nothing comes even close.

Now if I could only hit them reliably (and afford them)...

Seriously find yoruself a custom club maker and try the Maltby MMB, you can even have them made at golf galaxy (but I am not sure I would trust the kids working there to build my clubs) they look very similar to the 67s but are more forgiving. not to be a shill for the componant companys but the reputible ones do make fine equipment.

i agree...i was going to go to the golf show yesterday, but the lineup to get there was not even moving (they ran out of parking i think) so i went to golf galaxy, hit some drivers and irons, malby's look GREAT. no need to hate to admit it!!

Any modern Titleist forged blade gets my vote. A close second goes to some of the Hogan Apex blades though.

Hey Eore I notice Hawks landing is your home course! I live in milwaukee and want to play at hawks view and hawks landing what are they charging for 18? How is the course? I think Hawks landing is one of the courses being used for the badger state games this year.

that is one of the irons i was hitting yesterday....well, i wouldn't call it "hitting" heh
im not good enough to hit anything forged

my criteria for irons (and drivers) is: feel, sound, then look

cant deny the beauty of a blade. going by head alone, i like the 695 blades, chrome with that Z cut that just gives a distinctive look.

on another note tho, i think the grip makes the club.

Blades are definitely the best looking whether it is Mizuno, Titleist, or Hogan. I am rather enjoying my Titleist 735s which have more of that classic profile built in to the shorter irons.

    • Ok, I'm trying to find a feel to hit a consistent ball flight (irons).  My current predicament.  1. I try to do the arms down stuff better, with the club feeling like it is way behind me more. It's just a cluster of results. Most of the time, I can't get any speed on the swing. If I get my arms down faster, I just throw them out.  2. I focus all my attention on turning better. Pushing off with my left leg and getting my right side through better. On the DTL view, this doesn't produce anywhere close where the hands and club should be. The result is usually ball first contact, lower ball flight, more centered contact.  At this point, I am going with option 2. Stop thinking about what the hands do. Just make a shorter backswing, keep it wide, turn through. Somehow, the club head finds the ball. My focus is so much on just making sure I turn, it's like, "Oh, that contact was better.... Oh, that bell flight looks playable." If not, I will just be practicing my entire summer.
    • Nope, they spent too much money. They are in over 28 million on the football roster and related NIL compensation at this point. Boosters associated with any Texas college football team has HUGE sway. The AD is between a rock and a hard place. They put a lot of money into Sorsby, at the chance of winning a NC this year. If you move on, you basically wasted a lot.  This is why Ohio State wants 3 QB's they feel can start. That is why the backups the past 5 years at some point transfer. Texas Tech has no backup near the quality of Sorsby. If they move on, they are screwed for 2026.
    • Maybe there's something I still don't understand about the situation. Wouldn't Texas Tech do itself a favor to move on from Sorsby at this point?
    • Day 281 6-10 Full swing, fast, getting low point ahead of "towel".  Working on flow during this seems to help.
