Virginia Judge Bans 10-Year-Old "Prodigy" From Golf In Custody Battle

This piece is top loaded with proof of how good the kid is and the effect on her future, but the most important thing imho, is why and that's relegated to near the end of the piece. The judge did not disclose why and the particulars of the cast aren't known. I get the this happens for other sports and endeavors, but how the heck do you enforce something like this?

I would guess the judge is punishing the parents through the child. I see no reason why she would hand down such a ruling unless she thinks that a child shouldn't singularly focus on one sport. Honestly, I find this kinda judgement one of the things I hate about our judicial system. When judges wield it like a sword for their own moral cause.

Is this real?  LOL.. I haven't seen something so dumb in a long time.

Incan see for example saying she can be with the father for 3 days and the mother three days, but if the girl and her father want to play golf from 8 am - 6 pm who the $&&?! is anyone to tell them how to spend their time?  

Stupidty is running ramped in that courtroom.

You'd be surprised at what courts will tell people they can and cannot do in custody situations. The mother doesn't want the child playing golf, perhaps because she chooses that over spending time with the mom (so a 50/50 custody agreement doesn't end up working when they can schedule tournaments, etc. on "the mom's" time).

They've been fighting custody battles for seven years. She's 10.

There's a lot the stories are not telling us.
