Hi everyone, I just joined today. I'm Fredo in San Diego CA. I guess I'm like everyone else with a slight to heavy addiction to a game I know I'll never tame.

Not a lot to know about me I guess. I've been married to my best friend for 30 yrs. I'll be 60 yrs old soon and will retire after 30 yrs working in the Hazardous Waste Management field (for the feds).

I addicted to golf and old cars/motorcycles I can fix with a hammer and fire. My daily driver is a 1966 Chrysler 300 I've been building for about 4 yrs.

Other then that, I'm just a guy trying not to 3 putt.

Golf is like being married to a beautiful woman that can cook, change a flat tire and never turns you down. But   just for fun she slaps you around in public.

Hey.  Welcome to the site.  I was going to add "and check out the upcoming meetup" but it seems you did that already.

Don't worry about 3-putting... at some distances, it's more likely than making the putt.  Worry more about not being in a position to 3-putt ;-)

Welcome!

San Diego is fantastic for golf right now. Where do you play?

I use old Taylor Made clubs from eBay and golf shops.

Greg, hi. Mostly at Bonita but work on north island so sometimes on Sea and Air. Bonita is right over the hill from me. I'm in Lemon Grove.

Hey there! I'm from San Diego too but more towards North County. Bonita is quite far but Sea & Air are definitely one of my favorites. I personally love Torrey Pines, have you been?

    • Okay, I'm genuinely curious about this "biodegradable leather" trend in golf. Are we talking snake oil here? I mean, golf balls, clubs... they all end up in the water eventually. Is this just greenwashing, or is there actually a real environmental benefit? And honestly, does it even perform as well as traditional leather? I don't want to sacrifice distance for the planet, you know? Anyone with real-world experience with these eco-friendly golf goods? Spill the tea!
