Bogeyed 17 with a one shot lead, then birdied playoff hole #1 and made a par on playoff hole #2 and voila, Puma and Cobra (or whomever endorsed him) breathes a sigh of relief. Like Mcilroy recently reiterated, everything can change in an instant.

I think its promising after less then a year as a pro and allready 109 in the owgr. Okay, not stellar like Spieth, but good enough to get within top 60 next year.

Given this and his performance in a couple of the majors this year (t21 Masters and t15 U.S.Open) I think he has had a pretty good year.  He certainly looks like someone who can handle the pressure of the big moments.

You could argue his whole season came down to getting his tour card and he got it done.  Throw in a worldwide high profile and reinvigorating an equipment and clothing genre and his sponsors must be pretty pleased.

Good for him. Let's see what he can do in a full year on the PGA Tour.

I agree, there was a lot of pressure on him to win one and secure his tour card given his endorsement deals and performance at The Masters.

It would have been a great accomplishment if he secured the card during a PGA Tour event but now he has an entire season to live up to the hype he's created for himself.

When he's on, he's on but when he's not his misses cuts.  I won't lie, from the interviews he's given I'm not a fan and would have preferred a season without him.  So I'm going to try to just keep my mouth (and fingers) quiet if/when he makes news.

He does seem to have had a bit of a pattern this year of playing better in the big events.  Which is fine if you are always going to be guaranteed to be there but not so fine if your performance for the rest of the year determines your attendance!

Chambeau already has his tour card secured, he's still playing in this week's Web.com finals. I guess he's committed to play it and sponsors probably want him there.

Uh, plus he stands to make a relatively good chunk of change… :-)
