I never paid attention to them and one day I looked more closely at the warnings. No Happy Gilmores, don't tag your friends with your club, I laughed, shook my head and felt saddened all at once. Combine alcohol with metal sticks and elevated platforms and this is what you get. No running starts, especially on the top floor! You wanna bet they have an airtight insurance policy?

Steve

Kill slow play. Allow walking. Reduce ineffective golf instruction. Use environmentally friendly course maintenance.

I went to Topgolf for the first time about a month ago.  I think the signs were reasonable... it seemed like a third of the folks there were picking up a club for the first time.  On top of that, we all know how brainless some people can be

I would amend your statement to read "Combine alcohol with metal sticks and elevated platforms and LAWYERS and this is what you get!

Why do you think insurance costs so much?

Sounds about right - their likely point of reference IS Happy Gilmore.

Usually when you see a ridiculous warning sign (not that these are, but in general) it's because someone probably has done it...

Like you said, sad in a way.
