You couldn't comprehend the question dumbass.

You might care to reread your post. It wouldn't be acceptable from an 8 year old, let alone someone who has ambitions to go to college. Like it or not, you are judged by how you present yourself and if you wrote things like "whats my chances" (What is my chances?-----really? is?)  with that kind of grammar and you isn't gettin the job. Write like that and any college that doesn't send you for remedial English is not doing its duty.

Call me harsh, but you might want to put the horse before the cart.

Meh. Ignore his trolling.

@Shorty Youre ridicilous. What sorta reaction were you hoping to get when you say someone lacks basic literacy?

His post was perfectly understandable and youre the first person in this thread who started with the petty trolling.

Its a forum. Were not writing gradable essays...

I have two suggestions.  First, you've been given some real advice, it would be a good thing to respond to that advice.  This shouldn't be a one-way thing, with all information flowing TO you, it should be a conversation, with you contributing as well.  You'll get more and better responses that way.

Second, you've seen some (fairly sarcastic) criticism of your writing, to which you've responded angrily.  I suggest you take that to heart.  In the real world, impressions DO matter.  Your writing, use of punctuation, capital letters, proper verb tense, all of that stuff makes an impression.  I know it takes an extra second or two to do things properly when you're using your phone, but its worth the time to do it.

And a third suggestion, you get a bonus today.  Look around, post in other threads, be involved, there should be a lot of stuff on The Sandtrap to interest a golfer.  If you're involved with the site as a whole, you're likely to get a lot bigger response when you ask a question.

No...but we're off to college, apparently and an ability to write properly should be assumed. And look at the reaction when it is pointed out that there is an issue.

He comes on to a site and instantly asks complete strangers who know nothing of his game "whats his chances"  of playing college golf. How the heck would they know? The glib assumption that writing properly and having a basic grasp of the language are unimportant grates badly. My point is that his focus on this stage should be getting to college first. Don't tell me that what I read is an example of English that is acceptable for someone going to college. Golf is important, but an education and respect for the written word might count for something. Rant over :-)

What are his chances? Ask the college.

I had a handicap of 2.4ish coming out of my senior year of high school (handicap from tournament rounds, not from my casual play with friends). I was offered a spot on the team of a D2 school that I had been in contact with, and a number of different D3 school coaches communicated with me about the "academic" scholarships their school offered. I was not, however, given so much as a tryout for a D1 team and the D2 offer was contingent upon performance in a certain local tournament.

Assuming you play to your handicap without blowups, you have a chance at being noticed if you keep playing and improving. The big thing is to just keep in contact with the coaches and keep them informed about your tournaments. Put together a golf resume that has all your wins, your top 5's, and your top 10 finishes in it along with other various accomplishments. News clippings can sometimes also be appropriate if you were the topic of an article (at the very least news clippings do help if you ask manufacturers for a PUD, so they're good to keep regardless). Coaches won't seek you out at your level of play, but they will likely be interested in at least hearing from you if you reach out to them.
