More like follower, but Rover sounds better. Looks like company started around 2014, Cobblestone in GA just announced it's available to the public to try, I think it was $16.

Doesn't look like that much different than those electric follow-behind carts like the "Kangaroo" or whatever those were.

I would use one for $16, but if my course were to invest in new technology I'd much rather they get those golfboards

Looks cool but it doesn't clean your ball, read the greens, or tell jokes.

Somebody will forget to turn off the transmitter when they go to putt or will take the wrong path to the next tee or something and that thing will be rolling all over the greens.

They might have GPS with fences around forbidden areas.

Maybe someday, the issues could be tough to deal with, but I think any tech that promotes walking instead of carts is a good thing, carts just amplify or even create pace issues.

After watching the video again, I wonder how it would perform at my course with lots of hills and bumpy terrain and short, narrow footbridges with no railings, etc.  It's got a nice wide base with (I assume) plenty of weight from batteries so I don't think it would roll over like a good Rover should, but I wonder if it would get stuck, drop a wheel off a bridge, or the extra work from so many hills would kill the batteries.
