Geezus they need to keep the rope away from rock stars.

12 years ago when I lived in Phoenix my roommates took me to the Big Fish Pub in Tempe where Bennington got his start with some local bands. It was a total dive but always crowded. Lots of really bad music.

Anyway, rest in peace man. Thanks for the memories.

Man!  Linkin Park is one of my favorite bands of all time!  Bummer.

What is up with rock stars and rope lately?

I will miss his singing style and music.

That sucks. They are one of my favorite bands. He had so much emotion and passion for music.

Sucks, another one of my favorite musicians. Drawing from some dark places is what made their music great, but it's sad to see these guys succumb to the demons they've been battling all their lives.

Agree, those dark places, experiences, and emotions are great for artistic creation but many artists who master their trade and perfect their songs forget to work on their biggest canvas: themselves. We see this far too often whether it's a painter, comedian, musician or actor; they are driven by their demons but they never seem to escape them (well many do actually just wish it was more). I would hope that at some point they work on themselves and  work on understanding what drives them, but most importantly being able to accept it and move on.

I feel like Chester was actually making some of his best music in recent years and it's a shame to lose another great talent. God bless him and his family.

Sad. Their first album reminds me of some of the best memories with my college buddies. And working out...one of my favorites to workout to still.

    • I honestly believe if they play longer tees by 300-400 yards, closer to or over 7,000 yards, more rough, tougher greens, women's golf will become much more gripping.  BTW, if it weren't for Scottie killing it right now, men's golf isn't exactly compelling.
    • Day 542, April 26, 2024 A lesson no-show, no-called (he had the wrong time even though the last text was confirming the time… 😛), so I used 45 minutes or so of that time to get some good work in.
    • Yeah, that. It stands out… because it's so rare. And interest in Caitlin Clark will likely result in a very small bump to the WNBA or something… and then it will go back down to very low viewership numbers. Like it's always had. A small portion, yep. It doesn't help that she lost, either. Girls often don't even want to watch women playing sports. My daughter golfs… I watch more LPGA Tour golf than she does, and it's not even close. I watch more LPGA Tour golf than PGA Tour golf, even. She watches very little of either. It's just the way it is. Yes, it's a bit of a vicious cycle, but… how do you break it? If you invest a ton of money into broadcasting an LPGA Tour event, the same coverage you'd spend on a men's event… you'll lose a ton of money. It'd take decades to build up the interest. Even with interest in the PGA Tour declining.
    • Oh yea, now I remember reading about you on TMZ!
