I put the ball farther away in my stance and raised my hands a little. I'm making much better contact with driver with less Healy pulls. Does this mean I should have flatter clubs?

No.

Hands higher where?

Higher than what?  I hit the ball much better with my hands higher than the ground.  Those pool table shots suck.

Driver setup?  Yes, having the grip point (from DTL) at my belt buckle and not below it helps a lot.

I also aim to have my hands high at A4

Higher than what? Higher than they used to be! This can make the candidate sound like he is an enrollee into the Moe Norman, or single plane swing school of golf! Not necessarily so!

At times I've gotten a little lazy and "droopy" in my setup, and allowed the hands to get too low. Too low for me, at least. When I finally realized it and stood up a little bit, and extended my arms somewhat, all that went away. Suddenly I started hitting the ball on the button!

You don't have to get extreme with this kind of stuff. Its like Brylcreem, a little dab will do ya!

No. It just means your setup is a little better.

Now, you need to get a lesson to build on it. Never a bad thing to take a lesson when you are hitting it well.
