Day 159

Superspeed session and some swing mapping drills.

Day 3 - Similar to day 1, grip work and Covid Practice day 1.

Day 45- did two videos of my first two swings of the day and posted in MySwing thread for review. Then 10 mins of right elbow action drills bringing club back and up

Day 83: Did my drill to help me get the sweet spot path more inside: one handed, right armed swings. Working on keeping the right elbow and wrist a bit more bent, also working on my turn. Drill is looking like I want it to - pretty solid.

Day 139 - May 16, 2020

Full swing work again. This is going to be almost everything that I do.

Played 18 holes today. Got a birdie on 17, which made the day worthwhile. Down to five birdies left after 6.5 rounds.

Day 160

Played at a local par-3, 9-hole course because the 18 hole course was running about 80 minutes late on tee times because they ran out of carts and don’t bother sending people out walking.

The course is in dogshit condition, and it’s also a disc golf course, and more people were out playing disc golf than ball golf. Almost witnessed a disc golf ace.

Most of the tee shots were partial/flighted sand wedges around 75-110 yards which was great practice for me. Me and my buddy were mostly goofing around and hitting multiple balls, but for my “scoring ball” I shot a 34 (+7) with 9 GIR/nGIR. Longest hole was playing 165, so hit a 7-iron for my only full swing of the day.

Day 46 - swing mapping

Day 78 - Worked on shortening the backswing slightly for better contact. It is working well for partial wedges and short irons and I wanted to see how it worked with longer irons. I feel like I am over swinging a bit on the course.

Day 84: Did my drill to get my hips more open and my right arm more bent in the last part of the downswing. I think I'm making progress.

Day 140 - May 17, 2020

Full swing work again. This is going to be almost everything that I do.

Played 9 holes today. Hit the ball well at the end especially.

Day 161

Started off working on a swing thought/feel to help keep hips and shoulders from stalling. Had plans for a superspeed workout too, but it started raining so practice cut short this evening.

Day 1 - Played 18 with the new grip. Happy with the change, not the score. Glad the grip is getting more comfortable, though.

Day 47 - slow swings with 8i focusing on PP and getting rid of a newly developed “pause” at A5-6

Day 79 - Played nine today then worked on the driver in the afternoon. Submitted a video of the driver to my Evolvr instructor.

Day 2 - Worked on chipping with the new grip, it was an issue yesterday.

Day 162

Hit balls with 7-iron working on not stalling rotation. Seems like the stalling is due to a sequencing/tempo problem and when that is good I don’t stall. The swing thought/feel seems to help for whatever reason.

Also did a superspeed workout.
