Day 108 (30 Mar 24) - Niece and hubby and family are in town for the weekend, so he and I partnered up for an early morning 18 at the local course.  His first time back on the course since Labor Day so it was more of a knock some serious rust off round for him.  I had a decent start - birdie on the first...followed by a horrible quad bogie on the second.  Still the overall score for the round was decent for where I normally score.  Course management "of my head" kept me from going south after the second and saw the results with some really good wedge work into the greens with the putter delivering solid rolls if not in the cup, delivering tap ins.

Ping G400 SFT 10deg  R flex

Cool.

Day 35: 3/30/2024

Got out the chipping net and set up some indoor chipping in the basement. Mostly used the 60 degree wedge. Did a little bit of mirror work (barefoot) just checking as I sometimes get a habit of dropping back on my heels. Sometimes I even will lift my toes.

My bag is an ever-changing combination of clubs.

A mix I am forever tinkering with.

Day 36: 3/31/2024

Today I spent some quality time in front of the mirror. Again, I'll work backswing without a club, with a piece of pvc, with a club across my shoulders and of course a club gripped properly.

I also got a lot of putting practice in today. Putting mirror, gates, putt-out.

My bag is an ever-changing combination of clubs.

A mix I am forever tinkering with.

Day 17. Pardon my novel

I read this thread right before practicing. Given I only had 15 mins I thought I could employ some of the principles.

Started well. Hit a couple chips and they did exactly what I wanted. Managed to get quite a bit of lift even with a 52. Stopped after 3.

set a goal to work on wrist angles in an attempt to start the ball more right

Full swing was harder to stick to the plan. 3-4 rehearsals between swings were tough to be patient enough to do. I shanked 3 of my first 4. If I made a mistake I wanted to correct it, with a ball, right away. I managed about 5 minutes before devolving. Lesson here: slow down.

last couple balls I hit fast and they did what I wanted so I stopped.

small progress in how to practice. I should read that thread before each session.

Day 37: 4/1/2024

Today I went out and shot a 62 on Bethpage Black. ... APRIL FOOLS!!! 🤣

Actually I went to the range. Worked on some of my usual stuff. I also spent a great deal of time trying to hit targets with wedges. Did a bunch of putting on the indoor mat and got my overspeed training in. All in all, a good day.

My bag is an ever-changing combination of clubs.

A mix I am forever tinkering with.

Day 110 (01 Apr 24) - Played 18 with son and grandson today.  Good play, for me, on the front finishing +3, not as good play on the back as I was +11 (felt like the wheels came off).  Will be reviewing today’s notes…
