I'll try to give you the short version.

Took the game up in my early 30's. A bunch of guys figuring it would be cool to play golf. Shot 120 (probably 140 if I counted everything). Not having fun, threw the clubs in the corner of the garage for a few years.

Jump about 5 years, and now have a job in sales. Oh boy, sales meeting on the golf course. Continued to make a fool of myself on the course. Decided it was time to walk away from the game or take it seriously. Bought Hogan's 5 Steps book. Had a driving range 2 miles from the office, and another one 1/2 mile from the house. I lived at both of them the whole summer, 7 days a week. By the end of summer, I was shooting in the low 90's, with a high to mid 80's every now and then. From then on, I was hooked.

Now, 30 some odd years later, I'm retired. Moved from Wisconsin to Florida. Live on the golf course. Walk out my back door to a tee box. Play 5-6 days a week, but I really believe I play better when I limit it to about 3 days a week.

That's my story.

Great website. Glad to be a member.

I'm like you, as far as being on the golf course most days of the week. I probably practice more than I play now. It's all fun.

Thanks to you all for the warm welcome. When I get up in the mornings, I still can't believe when I ask myself, "What's on the agenda today?", and the answer is golf!!
