The selections in your poll are quite narrow, so I'm guessing you are going to get a lot of "Other" responses. I doubt many people just lift weights or just run.

For me, I do both as well as some other exercises. When I can, I work a schedule where I work muscles three days a week while I do cardio three other days. I make sure to take one day off. My muscle work may be lifting weights, or it may be body weight exercises such as pushups, sit ups, squats, etc..

Of course, this is my ideal. Sometimes I just don't have the time and I fall into that "I don't" catetory

During the "off season" (usually Novermber-March where I live) my workout is focused on staying in shape specifically for golf. I workout 3-5 times per week. My workout consists of 15-20 mins. stretching, 30 mins. cardio, and 30 mins. on the weights focusing on the core muscles for golf. I also swing my Speedstik in the living room a lot, my wife hates this but it keeps the golf muscles active.

I'm actually minutes away from starting another session of a new system of training right now. My friends used to be trainers at Ballys so they've got plenty of knowledge on weight lifting, endurance, cardio all sorts of fun excersizes. Recently they've gotten into MMA/UFC fighting so they've developed a method of training based around fighting which incorporates cardio, sparing, weight lifting, stretching and balance. I had my first session on Tuesday night, I'd been training in the gym at my club for about 2 years on my own, but didn't feel anything like the full body workout I got on Tuesday. Tonight I hear we are focusing on cardio and leg work with light sparing. I'm excited. By summer I'm supposed to be as big as Tiger. Well, maybe not that big, more cut like Villegas. That's the body type I'm looking to get like.

Running, lifting, and stretching.

I do all at home but lift at the gym when I can. I typically run about 3 miles about 3 times per week.

That's a big "other." Yoga, cardio, exercise tubes / resistance bands, weights, stretching, and medicine ball. I also eat better.

I play hockey year round, run when my hockey schedule is lighter, and do some weights and stretching with the swiss and medicine ball. I guess walking 18 holes, which I almost always do (don't enjoy riding) would also count

I'm a former competitive bodybuilder so it's weights for me. I will say that if you do lift...stretch daily. Bulk kills a chance for a decent swing. You have to be flexible.

My draw is your cut.

My typical week has been to run 10-15 miles per week, unless I am training for a long distance race like a marathon or a half marathon. I throw in some light stretching and calistenics with some core. I will also swing a weighted club slowly working on positions and release.

I do a golf specific workout that I got from MyTPI 3 times a week. I am interested to see what the changes will be this coming golf season.

Pilates, light weights, precor, bike, stretch. I try to vary my workout changing things up every month, emphasize core one month, golf specific stuff as golf season approaches, stretching is the only thing I try to do daily.

A combination of running, power lifting, flexibility exercises and speed exercises. I work out four times a week. The key has been giving up soda, entirely. I'm 35 and have one kidney, it was time. I've replaced it with flavored seltzer water and vitamin water. I've lost about 40 pounds two years ago and have managed to keep it off.
