I was lucky to be given a club house pass for an hour in 2014. Had lunch in the dining room (best clam chowder ever for about $10) and was given the royal treatment everywhere I went, except the inner sanctum. Also visited the pros' pro shop. Man was that expensive. Everything was gold-plated - cashmere this and crystal that etc etc lots of wives in attendance. I tried a superb cocktail at the bar - I think it was Vodka/Cranberry and cream. But the golf course is the star - just soak it up, go see every corner and stand by every green. It's fantastic.

During the tournament when cell phones aren't allowed, what does everyone do, leave it in the car?

Kill slow play. Allow walking. Reduce ineffective golf instruction. Use environmentally friendly course maintenance.
