Years ago I was given a Bagboy Sidekick for the low, low price of nothing.
Since my shoulders no longer allow me to carry the bag on the course I moved to walking with a push cart. The issue I have is I have the choice of 2 bags and neither fit on the cart properly. The bag are Ogio Grom (stand bag) & Nike Sport 2 (cart) Both slide and rotate on the cart and end up on their side. I have begun placing the stand bag on its side, but then it is a pain and challenge to access 1/2 the pockets if need be.
I am trying to avoid having to spend money on a new bag or cart
Anyone encounter this issue?
any one have a solution?
Anyone have any advice?

Riding in a cart is not an option!

Not sure how handy you are or what you have for tools but I would pick the bag I like better and modify the brackets accordingly to make the bag fit so it doesn't turn or twist.

If you are not handy, do you have a buddy who is that can maybe help you fabricate something on a Sat or Sun afternoon over an 18 pack?

If you were close I would help you out.  Love a challenge like that.

Take some straps or bungie cords you have and tie it down.  Or get a better pushcart.  Clicgear push carts are awesome.

Had the same problem with my clicgear. I just found a central location on the bag, and added two shorter bungie cords. You need two separate cords. If you use one, cord the bag will turn inside the cord. That's what it was doing with straps that came with my trolley. Trolley straps became worn, and wouldn't hold any tension.

Set your bag on the cart in the proper position. Pretend there is a clock face when looking down. 12:00 is the center of the out side part of the bag. 6:00 is the center post of the trolley. Run a separate cords from 12:00 to 6:00 on both sides of the bag.

Another idea might be to see if you can  load your bag in a different way to make it more balanced. You might have more weight on one side than the other.

There's a reason you got that Bagboy for that price, that's exactly what they are worth. But unless you want to buy a real pushcart like a clicgear you can use bungee cords like everyone else has suggested, they work pretty well. I used to have an old sun mountain pushcart that had the same problem, and I used a couple short bungees to hold it in place. No need to do it anymore as my clicgear has no such issues with my Oakley stand bag.

The reason I got the cart for free was-years ago they raised the cart rate at the course my father used to work. As an employee he got free golf, but the owner wanted to charge for the cart. He got ticked off and bought the cart at a golf expo for $125.
I was with him and remember telling him, he was never, ever going to walk. I was correct, he never used the cart once.
When I became unable to carry my bag any longer, he donted the cart to me.

I am going to try bungies.
I am also going to try to distribute the weight in the bag differently. I noticed when I keep a full bottle of water in the left pouch the bag pulls. Too much rain gear in the right and it pulls.
The issue will become how to carry water, since the course does not keep on the course and the cart has no decent drink holder. Looks like the cart girl is going to make a fortune off of me!

And here I thought making contact was the most difficult part of golf!

You could use bicycle straps around your golf bag. They are stronger than the straps that come with your hand cart. They are also more flexible so you can maybe wrap them around twice, It's worth a try and they don't cost to much.

    • This is pretty much how I look at it.  I understand there are times when the piece of mind has value. I think over the long haul I'm money ahead by never buying the extended warrantee. Hell, What do I know? I went to Ch!cago PubIic SchooIs.

    • On my car I got the extended power train warranty. I do read the fine print most of the time. Though at now 37, my eyes aren’t what they were 10 years ago.    The problem with most of these extended warranties on electronics and appliances is you don’t register the warranty with the place you buy the warranty from, which I’ve always found strange. Unless it’s GameStop then you know Alina drops her Switch in the next two years and the screen cracks they’ll replace it. No questions asked.    You buy a slow cooker at Walmart for $50 and the extended warranty is say $6, you have to go through a third party to register your product for the warranty, and it’s pretty damn annoying. Target is the same way. Anything you buy the extended protection on you have to go through a third party.    Why do retailers go through a “broker” for warranties? Because they don’t wanna deal with it? They make me talk to someone from another country, that I can barely understand, when I need my warranty fulfilled.   Sorry for the rant.
