Tell you what... some people may use them, but I made the switch to rain gloves when doing range work in these sticky, muggy conditions we've had around here. I picked up a pair last week sometime and broke them out this morning. What a difference... Normally I might use 3 or 4 pairs of gloves with switching out the pairs every so often while the other sets would dry in whatever breeze there was. They never really did dry out so it often affected my concentration since I would worry if the club might slip a bit, resulting in holding on way too tight.

Put on the new rain gloves and was kind of amazed at the results. Even after playing in the rain many times, I never used them before, I just had lots of gloves ready to change in and out of. Well, no more of that. Not a hint of slippage and didn't have to think about that part of the swing.

I have a pair of Titleist rain gloves stashed in the bag, that make it seem like the wetter the grip gets, the better they hold! But, with covers on the carts, bag covers, etc., it seem like we rarely have to pull a really wet grip!

On really humid mornings here in SE Texas, I quite often play with my left hand rain glove instead of my normal glove.  The Titleist rain gloves of today are better than they were a few years back.  Previously, I felt they needed to be wet or damp but the new ones I got (2018 version), they work just fine without being wet.

I wish I had tried those. I had a beautiful set of Pure Grips I put on (from reading on TST) and in the summer I just couldn’t keep my hand on the club. Slick as hell. I switched to Golf Pride Z Cord which are great but pretty rough on the hands.

I got that tip from this site a few years ago. It does work great. I don’t usually wear gloves, but I also sweat a lot. This really helps.
