The way I see it, it's now up to Rose and DJ to decide the FEC. Tiger's winning the tournament and they can't beat him. Only thing they can do is getting closer to him, getting more FEC points and win the cup.

Close one by Tiger. Not that I think it would have mattered.

It's obviously true about Nicklaus.  No one ever lost a tournament to Jack because they were being intimidated by Tiger.

Rose is really out of sorts today. He's hit 27% of the fairways....

Tiger can actually take it all because Rose is spraying all over the course.

DJ might have missed a putt for 9.5 million USD and the FEC on 18th.

I'm talking about their "style of play" with the lead. DUH. I just have a hard time believing neither had a "intimidation factor". The guys they play(ed) had to know Jack and Tiger are (were) superior players.

Now that,.... is just out there. Sure there was always an outside chance but I don't think anybody would have bet money on that happening at the beginning of the day even if the possibility was short lived.

I know I'm going to get killed here for this, but it's kind of a joke that a guy can win one tournament all year and win the Fed Ex Cup.

Why is it a joke?  This is golf, lots of high finishes count for something.  In golf, if you have a half dozen top-10 finishes in a season, you're pretty good.  It isn't like football deciding that three losses by a combined five points can be turned into a win.

I guess you're right. It just seems weird to me.

      He plays from 68.3 / 124.  A combo tee setup of normal mens and seniors.   I play from 69.7/127.   He left after taking a triple on 14 and then leaving.  Which plays to what I think his plan is,   He doesn’t stroke on 14 but would have to take bogey for non completed holes on the way in.   Maybe that’s giving him too much credit, but he found a way to add 4 shots to his score over three holes so….     I looked up his last 20 rounds in GHIN and he has a lot of rounds at easier courses (rating and slope) that are higher than his normal rounds at home.   Since I mostly have his front nine score during the match (36) to go on, he has three nine hole scores at our course posted that are 41-43. I wrote the whole thing up to the head of our golf association who runs all the tournaments.  Our pro is not involved officially in the tournaments because the golf associations are separate from the club.   He’s pretty well known for this, however I was pretty shocked at how well he played carrying a 15.   I think eventually they will do something, a lot of people have complained.  The golf association threw someone out a couple of years ago and it was a three month situation where the guy retaliated.  They probably are hesitant to go thru anything like that again.  That is a rather crazy story I might post about later.
