  1. No. Wait till you get one as a present. Though I still haven't bagged the one I received (A Calloway with a headcover).
  2. Go WINGS!
  3. On neighborhood streets, built for cars, carts are not any less dangerous than a bicycle. Probably worse because they are motorized. Let the kids wear their bike helmets. Senseless loss. Come on parents, use your heads and think it through. /rant
  4. I'm working in Mexico for 10 days and drink lots of Indio & Victoria, 2 of my favorite beers that aren't imported to the US.
  5. Pack an eraser in your bag.
  6. Bobby Jones 2H (19*) - I can't imagine not having it in my bag. My driving is not very consistent so I need those longer shots out of the rough.
  7. I've been researching prolotherapy for a thumb joint that has developed arthritis but I've seen references to it being used to treat some back pain. Something to check out.
  8. Bobby Jones 2H (19*), good choice for the deeper stuff.
  9. Hilarious thread. High School is the best years of your life until you get to college. College is the best of years of your life until you start your own family. Family life when your kids are young are the best years until your kids are young adults. So forth and so on. Live for the moment. Be first in line whenever a unique opportunity shows up, you may not get another chance. The future will get here soon enough.
  10. Picked up a brand new Yes! Marilyn on ebay for $60, just needed a headcover ($11). Excellent value.
  11. No. 1st tee on a new course yesterday I pulled it into the junk with the D, so I forced myself to stick with the 3w all day and I had a much more enjoyable time with a lower score.
  12. Consider trying a forward press like Phil Mickelson uses. I don't think the ball jumps because its a Scottie, its something in your technique that doesn't agree with a putter with those specific characteristics; loft may be one of them.
  13. When I get tired I start to overswing to compensate; the description of your round matches.
  14. No glove, unless its cold and then its to help keep my hands warm.
  15. I also agree. The producers/writers wisely steered Bond to be a dark, troubled, vulnerable loner and Craig pulls it off great. Most of the scenes have great physical almost-believeable action that doesn't rely on over-the-top CGI. The Parkour -style scene where Bond chases the bomb maker through Madagascar is an example. The only part of the film that I think too much time was spent on was the card playing. Quantum of Solace was a very good sequel. I look forward to more Craig/Bond films. ps: The Layer Cake is one of my favorites.
  16. Been wanting to try them, the PX3s were my favorite but are discontinued. I'm a neighbor, did you find them downriver anywhere?
  17. (2) great kids that got through their teens alive and well A career that I haven't gotten bored with after 26 years Lots & lots of golf nearby at very reasonable prices And being single so that I have time to enjoy it all
  18. It stirred memories of The Killer Rabbit of Caerbannog in Monty Python and The Holy Grail .
  19. Well you could go halfway. I put all the iron covers on at then end of the round so that they, and my car, don't get banged up while getting them in and out of the trunk, etc. Then while I'm playing, as I use each club I throw the cover in the cart basket or bag pocket until I'm done. Mostly the covers protect my car and the clubs during handling and transporting.
  20. TPC is nice. Make sure to take your camera.
  21. Today's graphite shafts don't take too kindly to the iron heads banging into them, hence the long necked head covers on the woods.
  22. If you want to believe Ralph Maltby, he says the "better" shaft manufacturers have, since "puring" became a buzz word, increased the quality of their shafts to the point where its not needed. Not so for the cheap ones. YMMV.
  23. No, they work great. Just wish I could find my size/width on sale again.
  24. I've played Heritage and all 3 courses at The Legends and I think you'll enjoy them.
