  2. Oh the irony. Eldrick misses the cut at The Open, (surprise). The following week, the leg humpers at the Golf Channel showcase, "Tiger Woods - Chasing History", (or "Chasing His Tail", or "Chasing Tail")..I can't remember the title, on continuous loop....yawn. The media continues to prop him up, (or lose advertising revenue from Nike) when even he is beginning to admit that his glory days may be behind him. Perhaps after his next fiasco, he will retire from golf, and start a dating site on the internet. The question then becomes, "What will the droolers on the GC have to talk about....Michelle Wie?"
  3. Minor edit required. If you are referring to the 2019 Master's, Eldrick did not "win" that tournament, Molinari gave it to him with his waterball on the 12th, (think Speith/Willet). Francisco had a lock, and only his poor shot on 12 moved Eldrick into the winners circle. Had Francisco made the green in regulation, he would have won.The leg humpers at the Golf Channel have waxed ad nauseum about Eldrick catching Jack. Ain't gonna happen....Eldrick didn't "blow one up." He is where he usually is on Friday...right on the cut line, or in this case, below. Koepka is a stud...Eldrick is yesterday.
  4. Eldrick will probably not sleep a wink tonight. He will stare at the ceiling all night knowing that tomorrow is his his only chance for a legitimate comeback. Final paring on Sunday. How long has he waited for this moment in time. If he can't close the deal tomorrow, his credibility will be gone, and the leg-humpers at the Golf Channel and cBS will scramble to bleat the usual excuses. Tomorrow is the day Eldrick.
  5. Eldrick and D J Eldrick because he's an arrogant prick, who squandered his legacy for some strange. D J..Continues to father illegitimate children with a woman he refuses to marry. Busted for cocaine use and got a pass claiming his absence was for "personal reasons"...Another arrogant prick who believes that laws, good manners and civility don't apply to him.
  6. 16 hours ago, Ping said: Concur... With this venue change, they should change the name from the WGC...to "The Open Borders Open"... You're right...I'm so ashamed. But,....the WGC move to mexico from Doral just because Trump was elected speaks volumes.
  7. Concur... With this venue change, they should change the name from the WGC...to "The Open Borders Open"...
  8. What a squeaker. With few exceptions, Eldrick is playing the B players this week, and ends up on the cut line. Let's see what happens when he plays the big boys at Riveria.
  9. Simple..they made the sandwiches the night before. Couldn't agree more...It would be a pleasant change if some of the US LPGA members would stop posing for magazines, and start defending the flag.
  10. Yes, you are correct...I should have worded my post differently. Back issues will/can affect all aspects of the game. I have been plagued with back issues over the years. My point is that the announcers zeroed in on "new equipment", "jetlag" and "stepping gingerly" (alluding to his back) when trying to identify a reason for Tiger's poor play. The fact is that he couldn't make a putt...
  11. His ball striking was really no worse than other players. What was glaringly obvious was his inability to putt. Back issues, real or perceived, do no affect the ability to make a three foot putt.
  12. Apparently, Nike came to the realization that their irons can no longer compete against the best irons ever produced, the Ping Eye-2..
  13. Yes. I've experimented with the new generation of drivers in a feeble attempt to compensate for loss of distance due to my advancing age, but always return to the 580...a superb driver.
  14. Driver- Taylormade R 580XD, 10.5 Irons- Ping Eye 2 Beryllium Copper Putter- Titlelist Bulls Eye (sc), Standard Flange
  15. I think that all of us, as men, can identify with and share some of his feelings and fears. Tiger is in a tough spot..I wish him well.
  16. You are correct..he did not drop where the ball entered...thanks for the clarification. The point being that he knows the rules, but doesn't always play by them..they only apply to others....speaks volumes.
  17. I posted my comments based on observations over the past several years of observing Eldrick's behavior and complete disregard for the rules. Case in point..when his pitch hit the flagstick and went into the creek, he purposely took a drop 15 or so yards behind the original divot to give him the advantage of a full shot, rather than the accepted practice of placing the ball at the top of the divot. That was not right, and he knew it, but he was given a pass. If you or I had done that, we would have been chased off the course. That sort of thing you remember..at least I do. I'm not a judge or jury..apparently you are, and have have found him innocent of all charges. I will also state that Eldrick has done a wonderful job of promoting this great game we call golf over the years, .....First Tee, etc. He has also done the game, and his legions of fans, a tremendous disservice,as observed by his conduct. But, as Eldrick said when asked why he was banging that Perkins waitress.."I thought I was entitled"..speaks volumes.
  18. Shack...RC Asst Capt is nothing more than another opportunity for Eldrick to keep the focus on himself..not the team. How many tournaments have we watched of late, where he is not even on the third page, but the leg-humpers at CBS, GC, etc..only focus on his every shot, not the leaders? .... loves being the center of attention. He rarely congratulates the winners, only offers up some lame excuse for his poor play..ad nauseum. Make no mistake..It is all about Eldrick, all the time. Love knows this and will think long and hard about surreptitiously conceding his Captaincy to Eldrick.
  19. I'm older than you, (I went to a Beatles concert in 1966) so my frame of reference is vastly different than yours. woods, without peer in the world of golf for a decade, became a figure to be emulated, ...young golfers the world over idolized him for his talent and accomplishments..he became a role model. All that ended when wood's real character was exposed. Not one of the gents I play with from the senior tees is willing to give woods a pass for his transgressions, not one...and not one of us has "a childlike view of the world"...when you achieve old age, you will look at things, and people quite differently.
  20. I'm not a hater..he has done a great deal for this great game. I don't care for woods because he squandered his reputation and legacy for some strange..I hope it was worth it. Guys that rise to his level of accomplishment should strive to be role models for future generations..not alley cats. clinton is cut from the same cloth..honorable men, men of character, have occupied the Oval Office..clinton is trash, and so is woods.
  21. Eldrick is his name..
  22. Yawn..............Two of Jordan's wins are the same tournaments Eldrick missed the cut on.
  23. Eldrick has an erection lasting over four hours when playing a bunch of C players on an easy course..If Jordan, Rory et.al, were in the field, he would be soiling himself ..
  24. Must have been having a cocaine flashback...
