  1. My goals for getting to single digits: Maintaining a good attitude (teenagers can be hotheads ). I played 9 holes before at +8 over 5 holes (two triples), stayed patient and calm, and made two birdies coming in to save my score. Getting up and down more often. Playing my cut when it shows up in my swing instead of trying to fix it. Working on a fade as a go to shot to eliminate big numbers
  2. Another option: Bridgestone J36 CBs, pretty decent prices on eBay and great irons.
  3. When I don't drive the ball well, I can't even break 90. Fortunately, this only happens every once in a while when I get too much tension in my arms. My short game is pretty bad. I'm close to or on the green when I'm playing well, but my scrambling is only around 20%.
  4. There are rumors at PutterTalk that a Del Mar 3.5 may be coming out with the next line of Scottys. I hope it's true.
  5. I wish Scotty Cameron would add a Napa to his next line of Classics that is 33" and 350g. The Bettinardi BC7 is all you can ask for in an 8802 styled putter, plus you can buy one new for $180 on eBay. Try finding a Napa under $350, hard to do...
  6. Studio Style has a GSS (german stainless steel) metal insert while the other two do not. The insert does seem to make the putter feel a bit softer. The Studio Select does not have an insert and has weights on the sole. I found that it feels really soft, not harsh, especially for a non insert putter.
  7. I tried the Pro S. The ball was coming off really hot but I just couldn't stand the harsh feel. If I had one, I would probably get used to that feel.
  8. I hit my friend's 6 iron right on the button and it went the same distance as my 6 iron.
  9. I'm very happy with my setup. But, perhaps some Black Nickel plated MP-62s and a custom Scotty Cameron Napa (GSS of course).
  10. An ~18* club. Perhaps a 5 wood or 2 hybrid.
  11. Hmmm... embroidery and a good price. Might have to get one.
  12. Lol man. That was clever...
  13. When my rhythm is off, I think of Geoff Ogilvy's swing to get me back on track.
  14. I just put one in play, very useful. I took out the 3 iron which I didn't use very often and put in a 19* hybrid to replace the 5 wood.
  15. Nice pickup! I hit a set the other day and was surprised that they felt so good and looked even better!
  16. A soft ball and an insert putter do not mix well.
  17. Played 9 holes with my high school team yesterday. Hit 1 green and 1 fairway... but, 11 putts! Ended up 4 over.
  18. I feel for you. Waiting sucks. I swung my friends S9-1 around, nice looking head and quality shaft. Didn't actually hit it though...
  19. And if the wedge does end up rusting, soak it in Coke and then rub with the rough side of a sponge. Nice and clean
  20. My 909D2, r7 Ti FW, and MP-32s all sound and feel good.
  21. Nice swing. Is there anything wrong with your ball-flight? Very off topic, but how did you make the video of your swing into an image?
  22. I don't recall the TP head being any smaller than the normal one.
  23. I hit a set of Nike blades yesterday, they felt very solid and looked great. Never hit a Hogan blade before.
  24. Susan Boyle is hilarious! The faces on the judges when she started to sing was just priceless.
  25. After missing two greens from 100 yds by flying over the green with a knockdown PW, I'm putting in the gap wedge. Taking out the 3 iron. Going driver, 3W, 5W, 4-PW, 52*, 56*, 60*.
