How Many Rounds Have You Played In Your Lifetime?
MacDutch replied to Golfingdad's topic in Golf Talk
I average 3.5 rounds a week. Playing for 10 years now, so that makes more then 1500 but less then 2000 rounds. -
59 watch!

So a local cadie who cadies the course whole year round, knows less about the course then a pro caddie who visits the course once a year (for a week). Or even less because the pro’s don’t play the course every year. And about not speaking English, what do we know for sure? Even caddies in Marroko at mediocre courses speak enough English, at least enough to caddie. And Matt doesn’t speak a word Mexican/Spanish too? People find ways to communicate. One way or an other, Kuchar was at the top of his form. The way the caddie acted could be more important then is given credit for.

It took the Kooch a month to write the statement apologizing and to decide to pay the caddie what he asked. Better late then never, but this incident will stick to Matt.

The caddie was his lucky charm, first win in more than 4 years, thats worth big bucks. Kuchar is a cheapskate.

It was an unspecified percentage of the prize-money that would be the bonus as an extra above the $3.000,- (if what we heared about the deal is correct). Of course it is stupid to make a deal with an unspecified percentage (if that was the case, we don’t know that for sure). Thats for both sides of the contract, but I blame Kuchars team for it far more. Standard for caddies is 10% if you win. So in that situation everything below 5% would be low balling to me. Winning is like winning the lottery for both player and caddie. It should be an extraordinary amount of money for both of them.

Worst 1.0 handicap player of the world 😂. Not sure if you are right about that, but still in the top 2% (or even better) players in the world. So don’t be to harsh on yourself. My question to @iacas : you think this is still on for 1/1/20? I don’t hear anything about it from the Spanish and the Dutch golf federation.

Not to me, the Kuchar team is a multi million dollar professional team. I call it taking advantage of the situation. That is, If the info is correct.

If I read the info correct, the caddie was promised a bonus (before the tournament started). An unspecified percentage of the prize-money. So he got $2,000 bonus, which is less then 0.2%. They offered to pay $20,000, so thats $17,000 bonus, which is +/- 1.5%. Caddie turned that down, he expected a total of $50,000. The big problem here is the ‘unspecified percentage’. This will allways give problems. The Kuchar team is a professional team and should not make such deals.

So this guy hits his drive into a penalty area wirh red stakes. He is lucky, there is no water and can play his ball as it lies in the PA. But his second shot hits a tree never to be found again. What should he do next? He is not allowed to drop in the PA, so he must drop somewhere else, but that would bring in an extra penalty. What are his options and how many penaltyshots are included?

Where is @Silent ? Joost Luiten is up to a new start after his injury. A T3, MC and a T6 during last three weeks on the European tour and he is back at T67 on the OWGR. I predict an other win this year, also predict playing the majors. Looking forward to it.

Major villan moves. Is there footage? Will not root for him again.

Nice win by Rose, number one of the world. But I believe Tiger’s shirt is more important?

Sorry, can’t vote either.

Depends on the situation. Even putter could be the right club. I’ve used driver/3 wood/hybrids/7 iron/putter.
