  1. I care more about how people act on the golf course than how they dress. I think having options of places with strict and relaxed dress codes would be best. There are many courses in my area that have either.
  2. Pretty nice looking shoe. The only thing I am curious about is how well they will clean off since they used a suede material in the toe. I'm looking for a spikeless shoe so this may have some potential.
  3. It could also just be perception of golf by people. Many younger people may only see golf on TV. They see a game that takes a long time, has a strict dress code, a lot of rules, and costs quite a bit relative to other games/sports.
  4. I think a lot of people like to get away from the chance of getting a bad bounce when hitting into a hill/fringe/etc using a bump and run .The probability of getting a bad bounce is way lower hitting directly onto the putting surface using a chip or pitch shot.
  5. If he pays this caddie 50k shouldn't he pay out that much to every local caddie he uses if he wins? Isn't it only fair?
  6. I feel like part of the responsibility falls on the caddy for this one. How do you agree to work without understanding your compensation? Does $5k seem low, sure, but if that's what they agreed upon it is what it is. Anything more than the agreed upon amount is gratuity which is completely subjective. I know I would not start any job without verifying the details of compensation and if a bonus is mentioned I would ask what it entails to receive it and what it consists of. Communication is key in all relationships, business or personal.
  7. Year round golf is very much dependent on what you can handle for temperatures and what you are acclimated to. If you only want to play when its 60-90 mid day then you are going to be pretty restricted, and with that climate usually comes higher cost of living. If you draw a line from the northern boarder of North Carolina directly west all the way through California, pretty much anything south of that is playable all year. Probably can move that line north a bit depending on how well you handle the cold. Personally, anything above 45 with no wind or rain I can manage.
  8. I keep it in my back pocket for GG and to listen to music.
  9. I'm surprised GG hasn't paired with grip and club manufacturers to have molded in tags similarly to arccos/cobra connect.
  10. The Cobra F9, mainly because I've always liked their drivers/woods. I don't think any of the new drivers are going to be ground breaking enough compared to my M2 to spend that kind of money.
  11. People are probably not talking about it because it's all hearsay and there is a bunch of info missing. Did the caddy ask for/agree to a flat rate of $3k or did they have some other agreement and Kuchar under paid him? If it's the first it's a non issue, if it's the latter then there is a problem.. From the info here it sounds like they had an agreement, then Kuchar won, now the caddy wants more. I could be wrong though.
  12. Yeah that isn't much to speak of. I actually had that exact model Cobra fairway wood. Best performing 3 wood I've ever owned.
  13. Just have to make sure that the lengths, shaft weight, and grip weights are the same/similar if you want it to feel the same. You can have the same overall weight but it will feel different if there is more weight in the grip end or if the club is shorter etc.
  14. I bought a new set of irons last year and my approach was hitting literally every set that was in my price range. I then narrowed to a few options and compared those head to head. Overall I am pretty satisfied with my purchase and plan to keep with that approach for any new clubs I buy.
  15. Are you sure it is significantly lighter or is it just a lighter swing weight? It may be worth while to look up the swing weights, for each club just to check. That information is pretty easy to find. If you are striking both about the same it could be a shaft issue (low launch vs high launch). The quickest way to get an answer would probably be to call Callaway (or email them), I'm sure they will tell you.
  16. I don't think he is bad under pressure. It seems like people just hold him to a higher standard because they expected him to be as dominant as Tiger was.
  17. When I play alone I tend to walk.
  18. Definitely underrated, especially when it comes to flexibility.
  19. Using a launch monitor hitting 10 or so balls (that your normally game) would probably be near perfect.
  20. How does it do that? Does it ask you where you aimed on every shot or just assume center of fairway/center of the green?
  21. Underrated. Most people think they hit the ball a lot further than they actually do. It also will expose the actual weaknesses in their game and dispel the typical myth of "I'm just a terrible putter". It can also help with showing typical misses to game plan accordingly.
  22. I'd say a majority of people have different shafts throughout their bags, so it's a non issue really. Another option might be to get a driving iron if you like hitting irons off the tee.
  23. They have exercises using a theraband flexbar for golfer and tennis elbow that help a lot. I noticed whenever I start getting pain in my elbows its usually tightness in my forearm or triceps that is causing it, some massage and stretching worked wonders.
  24. That's pretty much what I said along with strength of fields be a lot higher during some regular season events. Your options are overrated or underrated, there is no in between. I lean toward the majors being overrated than underrated.
  25. Strength of field and difficulty are what gave it the prestige to begin with. People understand they are important therefore they aren't underrated. If majors are underrated why is their discussion on who the GOAT is?
