  1. There's plenty of time but man, watching the US team consistently do this kind of shit in Europe is exhausting.
  2. Dudes. Okay, thank you Rickie.
  3. That was unusual for European fans.
  4. They said he's -5 through seven holes.
  5. The course at first glance does seem far more American than your typical European host course. It's France, of course, so the climate should suggest that. But I am curious about how thick that rough looks. That's normally not a European set-up.
  6. Hallo vriend! I hope I did that right.
  7. What do you guys think of putting two players with similar super long games like Finau and Koepka together in fourball? I don't know if they have a great rapport or are friends and that's why Furyk paired them, but I would be inclined to put contrasting styles together in this format. They seem better suited in foursomes. Spieth's putter is ON.
  8. Hello, friend! We have found a Patrick Reed fan. And he's a Spanish guy with a Scottish/Dutch username who is almost certainly rooting for Europe. There you go, Tiger.
  9. I voted 4-5, with 1 major. He's the best player in the world RIGHT NOW. I see this is an older topic now, but that's my prediction on September 28.
  10. Okay, Patrick Reed gets justifiable criticism, but right now I'm an enormous fan for three days after that. And I also love how the announcers misread Tiger's ball flight and how it had to bite, when Tiger never seemed to worry a second. His swing is under control.
  11. I mean, we're doing this already?
  12. I'm busy tomorrow morning through early afternoon so I arranged my sleep schedule so I can get at least 2-3 hours of action tonight. Very excited.
  13. Tiger Woods, Jack Nicklaus, Bobby Jones, Annika Sorenstam
  14. Yes. Ernie Els, too.
  15. I mean, I live in Pittsburgh. So I take damn close to six months off every year.
  16. Oh, I took note of that. But that's probably a psychological/self-awareness thing. So I wasn't surprised. The slow play thing is something amateurs don't admit to either. After I had multiple people tell me I was being too slow, I adjusted. So I'm now known as a fast player. But I think most players internal clock runs slower when they're waiting on others, but not their own shot.
  17. BTW, I legitimately got teary when he tapped in to win.
  18. So I watched the end of the final round in real time, but didn't see the award presentation until just now on the Golf Channel. I'm sure others probably commented on it, but what the f*** did NBC do to Justin Rose? He's being gracious as hell (just as Tiger was) congratulating an opponent, and they cut him the f*** off. I mean, WTF was that?

I'll be frank: I hate this guy.
  20. You ride a cart? F*** Josh Sens, whoever the f*** he is. Anyway, I can compile eleven reasons why I suck at golf easily. And twelve reasons why this article eats ass.
  21. I cannot stress enough how the Longleaf Tee system (posted here by Iacas and reposted again) is something that you should base your play from.
  22. Yes. I once planned a trip with six golfers. Have three two-man teams. One player from each team plays in each group so the teams are split. The game is a 3 player (or in this case 3 team) match play format called 6's. I would suggest best net ball of each team. There are six points awarded per hole. This is because six points can be divided perfectly between three teams. If all three teams tie the hole, they each receive 2 points. If one team wins the hole, and the other two teams tie for 2nd, the winning team receives 4 points, the others receive 1 point. If two teams tie to win the hole, they each receive 3 points, while the last place team receives 0 points. If all three finish separately, the winning teams receives 4 points, 2nd place 2 points, and last place 0 points. Play it nassau style for front, back, and total. Third place team pays the first place team your selected dollar amount, while the second place team breaks even. Pick a dollar amount that can be divided well so that if two teams finish tied for first or last, their winnings/losings get split in half. Or use hole handicap as a tie-breaker. If you keep the same teams for all three rounds I'd also have a 54-hole and a 27-hole bet. I'd also play greenies and birdie skins, double skins for eagle. Another suggestion would be to do a three man scramble match play event for the second 18 on the 36 hole day, just in case some guys get fatigued playing that much. Text your scores back-and-forth so each team can track the match as it's played.
  23. As long as you like the league, I don't see any "cons" to playing in one. Except nine holes. I hate playing nine holes. Literally the only times I've played nine holes in the last twenty years was with my young nephews at a Par 3 course or holes 19-27. Mother f*** nine holes.
  24. You're not likely to get better at your age. Just have fun playing golf. My dad (who is about to turn 77) has a close group of friends that I've played golf with for many years. And their abilities and distance dropped off a cliff when they all became 70-75. My dad (who used to play 200 rounds/year) has quit. Practice, and keep trying to improve, but just enjoy the game. Also, Longleaf tee system. Design your own courses using google maps.
  25. I don't think about stuff like this at any point in any round. I just think about executing the next shot (which, of course, on certain holes, may depend on where I want to be for the shot after the current one). The only time I break with the above thought process is in match play, and not often even then. Also, nice hat, bro.
