  1. Day 20 Putting in living room for 15 minutes. Stroke feeling good. Perfect speed at all the different distances of 5,10, and 15 feet. I was losing confidence in my blade putter and was considering a mallet. Think I have my groove back.
  2. Day 19 Practiced 9 holes today. 3 wood is pretty automatic, but driver is giving me nightmares. Getting great ball striking from my irons, but need to get my yardage dialed in. I think it was pretty good, but it was windy. About a 1-2 club wind today. Putting was ok, at least I didn’t 3 putt. It just rained here so my 8 iron chips weren’t rolling out very far. Switched to lob wedge and just carried it to the hole. Worked better on the soft moist greens.
  3. a lot of companies now has gone bankrupt, sold off, or acquired. Because of this I think they had an exit clause on there contracts or just don't have a sponsor anymore and just go with whats available. Sergio was basically kicked out of TaylorMade. They low balled him a sponsorship offer because all there superstars are taking up most of it now and sergio isn't really liked or winning much anyway so they just gave them a take it or leave it offer.
  4. he isn't happy he didn't make the cut from his last tournament, he is going to tear up the course at the honda classic.
  5. the good old days. i saw the marker where he teed off and hit the green on a par 4 over water. huge drive, beast mode. this was before all the technology of today.
  6. i like no laying up
  7. if you play a lot or plan on playing a lot definitely get lessons. i know most people don't play enough to justify lessons and just out there to cut it up with friends. more like hanging out with friends while playing golf. lessons are good, but practicing a lot after the lessons is the key.
  8. the oakley golf lenses are good, but i find the baseball lenses even better. I have both, and I use a white ball and i find the baseball lenses works best. I use to never use sunglasses but once i got a tiny bit of irreversible eye damage from all the years i played golf without sunglasses, i started wearing sunglasses to not further damage my eyes. i use the flak 2.0 with prescription lens. my prescription is very weak, so i alternate between my different lenses, just snap them off and snap them in. I love my flak 2.0, will probably buy another one in a different colour to match my outfits, lol.
  9. less loft = less carry = more roll out more loft = more carry = less roll out 8 iron is the high percentage chip where you bump and run. highly repeatable, more forgiving, very boring. do this if you have a lot of green to work with. lob wedge is the hero shot where you have to hit it perfectly so you can carry it to your spot with a little roll out. higher degree of difficulty, but looks awesome i.e. Phil. do this if you don't have much room on the green.
  10. you definitely need your back when you swing. you should get the lumbar support and also the shoulder setter. its the thing that pretty much ties your arms back so you have the correct upright posture. do stretches when you wake up to get your back and shoulders loose. yoga and stretching helps a lot.
  11. a friend of mine had the same problem and went to a chiropractor. felt it and said you probably could be fixed up with acupuncture. so he got the acupuncture done and WOW, all gone. I say try some acupuncture, nothing to lose, only gain.
  12. new toys give you more confidence. how is your distance, AP3 are distance irons. I think you should stick with AP2 or do a split set of AP1 or AP3 long irons and AP2 short irons.
  13. AP1 if you don't play a lot. AP2 if you plan on playing a little more mizuno if you plan on playing a lot and want amazing feel.
  14. mizuno, mizuno, and mizuno. i came from titleist and tried mizuno. i now play mizuno. sooooo sweeeeeet.
  15. they should have found this van quickly with all that advertising plastered all over it.
  16. i bought the old ball that they started selling about 2 months ago i think. they made a new costco ball, and it isn't as good as the old ball. old balls were a 4 piece like a prov1x, new ball is a 3 piece, I can't remember if they said it was a urethane cover. It is also cheaper then the original costco ball.

  18. Day 18 Spent 20 minutes in front of mirror swinging my air club. looked from different angles on my swing. front, back, left, and right. looks like i am going past 270. going to try to keep at 270 so stoping my swing before that. almost feels like i am taking a 3/4 swing and not a full swing, but mirror shows differently. will try to hit the range tomorrow with a smaller mirror and see how i am doing.
  19. Day 17 spent 30 minutes using pin wheel fan to create faster swing speeds. Swung from back swing to start, then from start to follow through, and lastly from start to back swing to follow through. It’s not only helping my swing, but it is also a great workout.
  20. Day 16 Spent 20 minutes with swing weight on 7 my 7 iron in the back yard. Get a good stretch and good extension of the club. I felt like I was rushing my swing and it was more compact. The swing weight really slows your swing down and really gives you great extension on backswing and follow through. Swung without it and now I feel like Rory, lol.
  21. Day 15 was at the course early before i played my round and practiced more of my putting with breaks this time. I practiced my putting for about 40 minutes one handed on left hand 1st then right hand 2nd. very awkward feeling at first but starting to gain muscle memory for both hands working independently. I am feeling more confident with my putting. When I played the round, everything feels new, but good at the same time. most of my puts were close tap in putts. I didn't sink any long putts, but I knocked a lot close for an easy 2nd putt.
  22. I have, it was dead centre and long. everyone in the group saw it, everyone loved it, and everyone said great shot. all 3 people were short and no where near me, so they all hit and we all walk together to see where my ball is. we get up there and nothing to be found. maybe it went further then i thought, so we pretty much walk all the way to the green on a par 4 and no ball. I didn't think i drove the green, and no ball in sight. we think a bird took it, or a hacker from another hole hit it without looking. So i had to drop in the middle of the fairway and play. weirdest thing that has ever happened. nice sunny day and no one can find it.
  23. Day 14 putted in the living room for 20 minutes from 5,10,15,20 feet. putted with only one hand, left hand 1st, then right hand 2nd. this was difficult. left hand i was pulling putts, right hand i was pushing putts. after practicing, I was able to recognise i suck. now I am able to keep it on line and straight now. put both hand together and no problem. will try again when i go to the course tomorrow and practice with breaks in the green instead of just a flat surface.
  24. Day 13 hit the range to work on poor driver play. Practiced for about 40 minutes. This time I brought foot spray and coated the face of my driver to see what I am doing exactly. I have been mostly slicing lately. I have been striking it low on the toe. I now line it up between the heel and center and was able to hit it straight. This will be my bandaid for now until I get back to lining it up in the center and hitting center. Foot spray is great, I’m going to try to get in a round tomorrow and see how it goes.
  25. Day 12 friend told me to bring a spoon to the range, so i did. I should have questioned it, but I just grabbed it and went to the range. I put the spoon in my glove and hit balls. it felt so weird, but I am understanding why he uses a spoon. It helps get a flat lead wrist at the top of my backswing. I hit mid to low irons today. After an hour of practicing I gained the feel at the top of my backswing. will try to get out on the course on Thursday and put it to work.
