Yea, and I`m playing Pine Valley tomarrow, then Augusta with Tiger,Arnie,Jack,Tom,and Freddie next Tuesday.
-
Tiger gets excited on the course, but he directs his anger at himself. He`s really a class act, intelligent, articulate. And,the best there will ever be,imo. I think he was right, and the Tour doesn`t really want to piss him off,and I`m pretty sure Tiger doesn`t care about the fine, knew it was coming. He ought to go beat up the European Tour for a year or so,and the Tour wouldn`t f@#$% with him next time,if the Tour still existed. My 2 cents worth!

I don`t want "fake clubs", even if they`re cheap. I`ve done a lot of buy/sell on Ebay, and it seems Callaway is the most copied. I play Pings, serial # on every hosel, easy to check with Ping. Callaway`s have the serial # on the 8 iron only, and it could be fake from another set.I always call and check spec`s{lie, flex, shaft}.If you`re buying a new set, call, and the shafts were steel, and you`re getting graphite, what`s up? The biggest problem, though, is recourse. If you pay, don`t receive the clubs, they`re inferior, ect., what`s next?? You can try to be cheap, but you could very well lose everything you paid for piece of s#%^@ clubs, and never receive them.IMO

I`ve always felt you should play from the tees that make the course fun,but a challenge.Of course, tournament play makes the choice for you.I don`t want a chip shot into every par 4,but don`t want to hit 3 wood into them, either. Remember,Tiger can hit a 6 iron 220,as do alot of pros.If I could do it,I`d probably get on the tips too.Unless you`re young or have aspirations to go pro, just have fun at whatever tees serve you best, along with your partners. It doesn`t help your game or help you improve to shoot 98+ everytime you play from playing the tips, when you shouldn`t,IMO.

It doesn`t matter how much it costs or looks like,it`s about getting it in the hole.I`ve tried just about every putter made, have about 10 right now,and if my head`s right, they all putt the same,in the hole. Find one you like, and go with it!

I work p/t at a local course{free carts}. The best time for normal course maintenence is from sun-up until about 8-8:30 am, before the course gets many players on it. When we areate the greens, we shut down for 2 days,so we can plug, sand, drag, and water. If the course you played was installing bunkers,it should have been closed for play, and if not, they should have told you what to expect and let you make the choice to go,or put up with the B.S. and play. I think I would have noticed tractors, back hoes, trucks, ect on the course before I teed off,and handled it then, rather than be pissed off.

I`d be embarassed,and buy a new putter,for sure. Plus, I wouldn`t post it.

In my instance, I play a 9 hole, par 31 exec course. Very nice, well maintained, surrounded by an apartment complex. There`s OB on 7 holes, water on 7 holes.3 par 4`s are drivable- one a 270 carry to clear the water, plus you have to get past a 10 yard slope in front, one a 275 drive into a 10 yard gap, with water left, and OB right. The 3rd,a 290 yard drive, with water left and behind the green, plus OB right. I used to pull the driver, but the risk/reward just isn`t worth it. I just hit in the fairway to the 100 yard marker, and shoot -4 to + 1 almost every round{9}.I`d much rather hit a 100 yard shot than a 20-40 yard shot, since they`re usually over water.Do what`s best for you,but play smart.I do.

I think Tiger could do it this year,if he wanted to play a lot of events. But,he only seems to play the WGC`s,majors,"mini" majors on tough courses, and tune-ups.The Tour is what it is because of Tiger, and the rest of the Tour knows it[players]. I think they`re very thankful he only plays 15 a year, gives Phil,Kenny, ect a chance to win a few. The Nike "welcome back,Tiger" commercial says it all. If he stays healthy,Tiger will break every record worth breaking before he`s finished, and I don`t think there will EVER be a more dominating figure in golf, never ever.

While I don`t play the "reloads", I do buy from Lostgolfballs, and they`ve been great. My course is 9 holes, with OB on 7 of the holes, and water on 7 holes, with a lot of hills/mounds that can get you in trouble, too. I play Pro V`s,Bridgestone 330`s,Callaway ix,and Talormade TP/LDP`s.I get good deals from LGB and it keeps my cost down. I think the "reloads" are refinished, painted,so I don`t really know what you`ll be getting.

While there are many things to look at,if you`re a 12 you can play some. I say "course management. If you play within yourself, and make smart, safe choices when you get in trouble, you can cut a number of strokes.Fairways,greens. Take a bogey from a bad spot and move on- no "snowmen" from trying to be a pro.

WOW! Talk about a letdown...Worst major I've seen, so far
Rob replied to Three Putt's topic in Tour Talk
This Open sucked! No real flow with all the weather delays,N.Y. "fans",and a easy golf course by comparision{wet greens}. Johnny Miller even invented some more new words during the broadcast.Maybe the British will be better! -
Mr. Eldrick Woods

Win a major? She hasn`t even won a tournament, unless I`m sadly mistaken.I really can`t stand her, although I have nothing against her. It just peeved me that she tried to compete against the men when she can`t even beat the Koreans on the LPGA. I guess it`s all about ratings, ect, but I`ll never be a fan.
-
So,what`s the point of your post?
-
Come`on,Weenies! You have to adjust to the conditions. Every course/greens are different,so size it up and play! I would agree that sometimes we don`t play as well, but if it`s that bad, just pack up and go after the 3rd hole. Otherwise, enjoy- it`s better than work, being in prison, fighting with the wife, being dead, ect.

I think most "great players to be" are already known by enough "money men" to be sponsored. With travel, motels, entry fees, ect., it`s high dollar.I really admire the top pro`s in golf and tennis. It`s all on you,no linemen,pitchers,3 point shooters to bail you out if you have an off day or screw up. You`re out there 5-6 hours a day, doing your job against the best in the biz, plus the practice. I doubt any pro golfer ever gets comfortable. You might have a great year or two, but it just keeps going and going. Call Tiger- his cell # is 5**-***-****. He can tell you,but you will probably hear abundant bad language for asking this question.
-
They are truly excellent irons.Good for any handicap. You might want to look at your bag.You might be able to improve on that +35 with good clubs. ?????
-
I like to play as if it were stroke play, trying to make /do my best on each hole.If my opponent hits the woods, water, ect, I used to relax and the next thing I knew,my ass was beat because I lost focus. There ain`t no pictures on the scorecard, just numbers, and a hole is not over until it`s over,no matter how it seems after the tee shots! Focus, play hard, and you`ll do well.

Buying used golf balls on ebay...
Rob replied to d373rm1ned's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
Try Ultimate Sports Bargains{seller} on ebay! Bought 100 Pro V X for $95.00 with free shipping. They are almost new.Great balls! -
I`m really growing weary of pro athletes being given "second chances" to make millions. Especially when they`ve been convicted. It`s kinda like "work release" with a big pay check. If they drop the hammer on these "thugs", sports will clean up. I don`t have anything personal against Vick, but what he did is unexcuseable,he`s a con, and if he ever plays for Dallas,I`ll never watch another Cowboy game-I`m a life long Cowboy fan! I will not support, watch, ect any team that signs him. He`s "Bad Newz"

What the F@#$%?

Very sorry to hear this! While not a "Phil" fan, I`ve always enjoyed seeing Amy and the kids storm the 18th when Phil wins. And Amy and Phil do a great deal to help the less fortunate. I pray she will have a speedy, complete recovery! God bless!

I`m trying them now, but the Pro V is winning by a landslide so far.

I guess there are "rednecks" everywhere! I thought they only lived in the South. If you don`t feel comfy up there, move to the "South".Alot of golfers here aren`t old,middle-aged, but we respect the game, you *******!
