I happen to know him quite well. You must be a Tiger fanboy with a comment like that.

I need my guy Charlie Beljan to play good again this week. He's on his 2nd year exemption from winning at Disney in 2012 and needs some money $$$ to secure his card. Is it top 125 on the money list that keep their cards?

I have just developed some pain and discomfort in that exact area. It has effected my swing and posture and is severely aggrivated at the gym during squats and deadlifts. I would love to try this product out. I have purchased and used Serola's forearm brace and it did wonders for my "tennis elbow"

I got called a traitor by a lefty on the golf course last Friday because I was writing left handed and golfing right handed. I told the guy that a right handed golf swing is really left handed.

I got my reply, no dice. We are still in for the practice round tickets which will be announced mid July.

I think Brandel said yesterday or on Sunday that Tiger's problem's are from doing the heavy lifting and should give up the squats. Frank played it off but really Brandel? I think Tiger knows his way around the weight room.

What are Your Thoughts on Component Clubs?
bman1313 replied to boil3rmak3r's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
I bought the Maltby forged TE irons when they came out and couldn't be happier. I had a set of forged Titleist (705?) before theses but I prefer the Malty because of the very little offset and thin top line. I just ordered the Maltby driver and it is on back order till end of April so I'll let you know how it is when I get it. I have never had anyone talk down about my irons especially after I let them hit them. I just find forged irons have better feel and don't think I'll ever switch back to the top name brands. For Driver and Fway woods I may try out a few Pings, TM or Cobras but I like getting a driver with a $250 shaft for under $300. Have you priced a set of forged Mizuno's or Ping irons? Holy cow! Good choice on the irons, I'm dying to try out the new forged irons from Maltby but don't think they are going to be any better than the TE's. Brandon. -
Prescription transition glasses
bman1313 replied to keb's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
I wear my NIKE transition glasses on a daily bases but switch to dark sunglasses while playing golf. I have worn my transitions when it is cloudy but here in AZ that is like 2 days a year. I have polarized clips that go over the transition lenses for in the car. It's too dry in the desert for contacts. -
Just found out something about Forged Irons
bman1313 replied to Gnohymmas's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
some interesting reading regarding this topic. http://ralphmaltby.com/forum/article/62 -
Cutting it down is a good idea. Make sure a good clubfitter does it and I would make sure you get the swing weight back to a at least D0. Depending on the weight of the head and overall weight of the club a half inch is equal to approximately 3 swingweights.

Is Brown the New Green? Golf & Water
bman1313 replied to WUTiger's topic in Golf Courses and Architecture
Here in AZ the courses go way overboard in making everything super green. However, many courses have changed their practices over the last 2 years such as not overseeding roughs in the Fall and some don't overseed fairways and roughs. I played a couple of courses that only overseeded the greens and green surrounds and left the fairways and roughs dormant throughout the winter. The courses played fine and were quite fun with the excessive roll you get off the driver. I work in the golf course industry and way too much money is spent on water, fertilizer, chemicals grass seed and labor. The immaculate conditions are definitely nice but the industry is learning that you can still have a nice course without going overboard. It's sad that it took a major recession to figure this all out. -
Press Release http://www.cobragolf.com/corporate/p...ease.asp?id=89 I wonder if the tour pros will still be wearing the Cobra visors with the ProV1 logo on it?

Got My Scotty Back From the Custom Shop!
bman1313 replied to BonoVox's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
I don't know if it is my bag or just dirt from playing but I can not keep my lime green grip clean. Just a FYI. -
My distances are almost exactly what yours are and I consistently shoot in the 80's. I break 80 and go low (74 - 76) about once every 5 rounds which keeps my H.I. in the single digits. I don't consider myself a long hitter by any means and I know of a lot of players that are shorter and better than me. What is your weakest part of your game? Other than distance, what do you feel is holding you back from breaking 80.

I really enjoy sun tea. Take about 6 teabags and place them in a 1 gallon glass pitcher with a lid on top. Place out in the sun for 4-6 hours and sweeten to your liking. The longer it sits in the sun the stronger. The tea will have a much different taste than regular iced tea. Keep the tea in the fridge once it is done in the sun and only keep it for 1-2 days since the water wasn't boiled it won't last long. Also enjoy Arnold Palmers or an Arnold Palmer made with green tea which I named a "Green Jacket". I better get that trademarked.

I was thinking of trying some out but then I looked at the lofts and they were too strong for my liking. A little too busy in the graphics but a good looking iron none the less. Snake eyes are good clubs.

Scotty Cameron C.S. Turn-Around Time
bman1313 replied to etlreams's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
I feel your pain. I had new grip, shaftband, initals stamped and paint color fill done and turn around time was 2 weeks. Well worth the wait. -
I still have my Acushnet 108's that were my first set of clubs. Thanks Dad.

I am getting ready to buy a Maltby forged TE 6 iron. For about $60 I can get one w/ a flighted Rifle shaft and I get to see how I like them before I plunge for the whole set.

Scottsdale trip in less than a month
bman1313 replied to GolfinGQ's topic in Golf Courses and Architecture
I personally would play Grayhawk over Troon North but that's me. Troon is very nice but I think it is too much desert target golf and the houses are too close to the course. Depends on what type of course you want to play. Courses like Talking Stick and Vista Verde are more links style. Vista Verde did not overseed the fairways this year but the playability of the course is awesome. I played 2 weeks ago and the greens were the best I've played all year. I play the Wigwam regularly and the Gold course is a masterpiece and is extremely difficult.(One of my AZ favorites) Conditions might not be too good(greens esp.) since they are just coming out of receivership and it may take a while for the money to get flowing into course conditions and improvements. Legacy is a good course that I need to get back around to playing. Haven't played there in a while but it's usually in great shape. -
TPC Scottsdale - $163 right after the Phoenix Open a few years back. Pumpkin Ridge - $155 to walk. You should see some of the prices on golfnow.com for the Scottsdale area. TPC is at $287 cart path only (pre Phoenix Open) Troon North is $189-$209 and the Boulders is $200. I played Troon North for $55 over the summer and I'm hoping the low summer rates return.

I use Firefox. Their download manager is awesome especially if you are downloading a lot of music files. They have a plug-in for everything.
