  1. I like this idea!! Always enjoy looking back!!
  2. & Stop running so many infomercials that have Nothing to do with golf!!
  3. Salute Canuks ... What a very exciting game!
  4. My dad taught me to make Manhattan's the same way he made his Martinis ... short glass, 3 ice cubes, add booze, hold glass up to your chin and quietly say "Vermouth" .... he liked his VERY Dry ... My drink of choice ... a good cup of strong coffee or the occasional cappuccino.
  5. I found a nice Sun Mountain cart bag at my local course toward the end of the season on sale for $50 (60% regular price) ... it's all black so I figured it would go with anything and had most all the features i was looking for ...
  6. The Golf Fix ( I really like Micheal's energy) The Cleaner House Big Bang Theory 2 1/2 Men
  7. Practice balls (Almost Golf), practice net and driving/chipping mat.
  8. '02 Chevy Tahoe ... tows the boat and hauls a foursome comfortably ... what more could I ask?!
  9. I have been doing this too. I think it helps to have a partner ... to help keep an eye on things and it also just makes it more enjoyable to bounce stuff off of. But when hitting by myself, I make sure I video my swing from time to time to see if i notice any problems.
  10. I'm an Almond Guy ... plain, flavored, they're all good!! Chocolate covered are the ABSOLUTE Best!!!
  11. I made it to the TM event at GG here in Appleton, WI today and it was very well attended. Tried the new Burner, but I was pretty stiff yet and did not hit it nearly as well as i do my older model Burner ('08). Gonna try to go again tomorrow to try and get another $25 gift card. (the 1st 25 at the door got $25 gift cards.)
  12. Every year (late summer) there is a big promotional clothing company near me that has a huge 2 day tent sale where they clear out all their "samples" and embroidery over-runs and mistakes, etc. Last year I picked up 4 nice golf shirts, a Nike, a Ping, a Cutter Buck and an Adidas for a grand total of $40.00 (each of these shirts go for $60+ in golf stores). I was pumped! Check these places out in your area - they may do something similar, plus they are good to get to know for when you need "logo goodies" made for your business ...
  13. Since the 1st time I read Harvey Penick's Red Book I have spent countless hours working on the slow motion drill. Especially since living in Wisconsin I have several months of the year that I'm stuck indoors, it helps with the mechanics and such. When I first read it, I could not see how going through my entire swing in slow motion (VERY SLOW MOTION) over and over again would help anything, but it does.
  14. OK - I realize I'm showing my age here but my top Metal bands would have to be: 10 Years After Metallica Black Sabbath
  15. That was Fun to watch!! But I'm most jealous of all that hair!! (I had hair once ... )
  16. Love Harvey's books ... I have the Red Book in Audio Book and listen to it regularly when on my treadmill ...
  17. The remote is getting a good workout today between Golf, the daytona 500 and the Olympics. I like watching Nascar .... been a Matt Kenseth fan for some time (Wisconsin Boy!). Nascar note - wish we could get our street dept. to fix potholes as fast as Nascar Track guys do!!!!!
  18. This reminds me of a story I heard Anthony Kimm tell on TV once where he said that he like choking down on his driver, so Nike made him a shorter driver ... and he just ended up choking down on that one too making it too short ... basically he discovered he simply liked the way choking down on a standard club felt in his hand ... so I guess I'm saying is perhaps the best thing for you to do is leave the club as is ... just a thought.
  19. I can honestly say I did not pay full price for anything I carry ... either bought on ebay or on sale somewhere. Total club investment = $775.00
  20. Generally better ball striking and sharper short game.
  21. I was right where you are a year ago. Figured I needed a real change so I hit the Adams 3OS and really liked them, but ended up really liking the Cobra Transition S set. Like the Adams OS sets, the Cobra Transitions are Ultimate Game Improvement irons/hybrids and while I would love it if my game was better suited to a more standard club, these really allow me to enjoy the game so much moew. I guess at my age I'm willing to let technology be my friend. At your young age, perhaps it would help to use a Gamd Improvement set for a while until you can grove a better game ... whish I had had that option when I was your age. Would have saved so much frustration in those early years.
  22. I just really get a kick out of Feherty! I also imagine this is a shot of him watching me hit my Tee shot ...
  23. I listen to very little music on my iPod ... use it mostly for poscasts, web, audio books, and I'm finding more useful aps all the time. I do watch golf video clips a fair amount and I do have a couple movies on mine but have not taken the time to watch them yet.
  24. Obviously, everyone's swing is different, but I recently compared the Monster, the Hi Bore, a Cobra S9-1 M and a Burner (along with a couple other drivers). Going in, I was pretty convinced I'd be walking out with the S9-1 or perhaps the Hi Bore, but my results with the Burner were surprisingly straighter, longer and more consistent (Reg flex shafts, 10.5 loft). My average length with the Burner was 230, which is great for me. Granted all were compared on a simulator, and I realize the true test will come on the course, but for me at least it was an eye opener. The difference in the feeling of swinging the Burner was just so much better for me .
  25. WHO DAT!! Great Saints Win!!
