  1. Just got this from the local library and it was a great read!
  2. Follow this link to the bridgestone ball fitting schedule. you can search for local events from there.
  3. Campbell's Scottish Highlands Golf Course up in Salem, NH has a large practice area/driving range that would be great for this kind of thing.
  4. Nike might be the best brand overall in sports simply because it's everywhere. Think Spalding or Wilson twenty or thirty years ago. Golf-specific brands, I think the best are Ping and Titleist, not necessarily in that order, because they are synonymous with Golf.
  5. Marshalls and TJ Maxx have good deals, too.
  6. Forget the Penguins. As much as it hurts to type this: GO HABS! I want to see the B's bounce them from the playoffs on their way to the cup finals.
  7. I've been playing Pinnacle gold Precision balls so far this season. I've got a couple of sleeves of TaylorMade burner TP balls that I got as a gift that I'll try, too. When I get to the point where I'm not losing three or four balls a round I'm going to switch to the Bridgestone e6 after reading some of the other golfball threads here.
  8. It's good to warm up at the range, but I have to make sure not to hit too much. I played a course last week and all they had was 1 size bucket (large). I ended up pounding balls and didn't hit the ball well until the fifth or sixth hole.
  9. I'd also be very interested in going to a stack & tilt clinic in the Boston area. What kind of a facility do you need?
  10. The set-up tips were great. I really like it when they focus the whole show on one topic.
  11. I've got a couple and use them occasionally. Not bad to use, but they are kind of gimmicky. I don't notice any difference in the flight of the ball off the tee.
  12. Go for the cart. It's enough to be walking 27 holes without carrying the clubs too.
  13. I've got a 46º PW, 56º SW and a 62º Lob wedge. I'm having some trouble with the 62, and I'm thinking about swapping my current SW and Lob to a 52º GW and 58º SW.
  14. Good luck with the new gear! I love the gigagolf stuff that I have. Let me know how you like that TRX driver.
  15. The other insane part of yelling "FORE" is all the people that start looking around for the ball instead of ducking.
  16. According to the uPro website ( link ), it is compatable with Mac OS 10.4 or newer. Also, it says that you don't need to install any additional software or drivers. Have you tried just plugging the uPro into your Mac?
  17. The alignment sticks don't weigh much and make a handy spot to keep your headcover when it's off the club.
  18. Got a new glove today and a used Ping Zing G5i putter.
  19. Water. I keep a bottle in the cooler pocket of my stand bag.
  20. This show real fun to watch. John Daly and Rocco Mediate are up next week.
  21. I don't think that there's anyplace real close to Melrose, but try Golf Country in either Middleton or Saugus, or Sun'n air golf in Danvers.
  22. Not a prediction, but I'm praying that Tuuka Rask starts playing out of his mind and the B's ride him all the way to the Stanley Cup. If I come back to reality, a repeat of last year for the Penguins is probably pretty likely. I think they'll see the Canucks in the finals.

    6 iron

It only matters that you know how far you can hit that 6 iron. If you know you can get a consistent yardage out of each club in you bag you're golden. And let your uncle know that unsolicited advice is against the rules. Then question his manhood for pulling out the hybrid for that 160 yd par 3.
  24. So, just to be clear: The e6 is the replacement for the e6+ and is not to be confused with the e6 that the e6+ replaced. Got it. Why do I get the feeling that Bridgestone's marketing dept mailed it in that week?
  25. I've gotta give him some credit for his 76 on day 2. Missing the cut from one tournament doesn't mean a heck of a lot. Lets see if he plays in another tournament & how he does there.
