  1. Completely subjective, but I am partial to the Adams V3.
  2. I don't think it's a coincidence that the more highly skilled/talented people are, the luckier they are as well.
  3. They still sell tickets and advertising prior to the event by promoting the fact that they will be there so while it wasn't probably the desired outcome, I don't think it was a total loss.
  4. They look like a clone brand. They look cast, but even if they were forged, I doubt they used to cost $2,000USD.
  5. My golf buddy bought them, he had the 2012 TW's. He says these feel like you're wearing really comfortable sneakers. Granted he's a tiger superfan, so I have to temper his response. But when I tried them on, they didn't feel any more comfortable/lighter than my $100 Nike Lunar Ascends.
  6. Didn't he win twice this year?
  7. In my opinion, if you hit a ball into a hazard (twice), then they weren't good shots. To me a good shot is the end result, not the way it looks in the air. If you hit the green pin high, and it bounced off the green, then that was a bad shot and you should have hit one less club. If you hit a drive with draw and ended up in a hazard, maybe you should have played a fade, or hit it straight, or aimed to the left or right of the hazard. Just my opinion.
  8. You're describing a majority of pros on tour. If I could make a living doing it (a few top tens a year would do it for me), then I would absolutely do it.
  9. They set up the course specifically for the US Open. Grow the rough to ridiculous lengths, narrow the fairway, speed up the green's. Olympic when it's not hosting the US Open probably isn't nearly as difficult. I bet for the few weeks leading up to the open the members' indexes went up a bit though.
  10. I'd like to be there to watch you hit a wood or hybrid off a concrete path and find the green from 200 yards out.
  11. I have a squareback 2 that I sent to the SC Custom Shop to get the site line milled into the topline. It definitely helps with lining up putts. As for feel, you get the same feel as the other putters in the studio select series. One thing that may be an issue (or at least take some getting used to) is that the Squareback 2 is almost completely face balanced, which is different than the newport 2
  12. Quote: Ahh, that thing didn't come close to hitting him. When I heard about it on the news, I thought someone actually hit him with it.
  13. Last winter I played through early december in Massachusetts, wearing underarmour cold gear compression pants, two pairs of socks, than regular golf pants over them, and an underarmour cold gear compression undershirt, a regular golf shirt, then an underarmour cold gear golf pullover. That, plus footjoy winter gloves and my Northface beanie and I was all set and warm especially considering how thin everything was. Not restrictive at all. and I usually get cold easily.
  14. Looking at girls who are only golf hot is useless unless you are actually on a course and there is no basis for comparison. Here on the interwebz, it's like looking at the nicest Ford Fiesta in a parking lot full of ferarri's. BTW, on a related topic to the thread, I saw that Ryan O'Toole, also from the same season of BB is in the running for Rookie of the year.
  15. email and ask if you can return/cancel your order. If all sales are final, go through your credit card company. In looking at the site, I don't understand how you could think it's legit, especially with the prices.
  16. Quote: I also loved the "Back to the Future" in the background... "1.21 GIGAWATTSSS!!!!"
  17. This is actually my problem. I don't take lessons because I simply don't have time to practice what I learned, so it'd be useless to me. I guess until I have more time to devote to practicing and taking lessons, I'll have to be happy with where I am.
  18. My golf buddy (Who's about an 18 handicap) just bought an old set of Nike forged blades that includes a 1 iron... he said he won't always bring it out with him, but it'll be hilarious to watch him try to get the ball in the air with it.
  19. Get yourself a set, buy a second cheap bag, take half your clubs and put them in the second bag. Voila! two (sort of) sets for the price of one!
  20. Stevie should thank Tiger for allowing him to be on his bag for so long. He had the dream life that most caddies would kill for. looping for tiger not only got him millions just carrying the bag, but also got him his own endorsement deals. Other than Bones, I can't think of another caddy that had it so good. Stevie made more as a caddy, than alot of tour players have in their careers.
  21. Actually, it proves how much Tiger earned over the years that even a percentage of that is still quite a lot of money.
  22. Tiger's sunday outfit (Red shirt, black slacks)
  23. Pics or BS... just kidding. I 'm a pants guy
  24. If there was a fabric that prevented you from sweating, you'd probably die of head exhaustion. Everybody's gotta sweat. I do notice that it's more bearable/comfortable, if i'm wearing a nike dri-fit or Adidas Climacool shirt.
