    MP 60s

I've played the MP60's since '08 as well, and I love them. The feeling you get when you pure one is awesome, plus all the "other" shots give you great feedback. Agreed that $350 is a little steep though...
  2. You HAVE to break one every once in a while, it keeps the others in line... lol
  3. Nice lol. I could take him (yeah right)
  4. Great round! I was in the same boat hovering around 78-82 and posted a +2 74 today. The course was a bit short, but I finished birdie-birdie and only had 26 putts for the round...
  5. I play Bridgestone Tour B330's and mark them with a red, white, & blue pattern outlined with black.
  6. A nice, tall Sweet Tea is always a great decision. A gin & tonic when I get home is also a good call...
  7. I use it depending on what type of shot I'm trying to hit around the green. I don't usually hit it from the fairways, but there's always the occasional exception when I want to hit that very high approach to a pin tucked just over a trap. It's a usefull club, but the 52 & 56 get a lot more work...
  8. How's everyone feel about their game? I'm feeling confident at address, like I know I can hit this shot. I've been able to grind out a lot of pars lately and I've been burning the edge of the cup for weeks. I feel like I'm on the cusp of going low...
  9. That's funny. You just wonder sometimes if one announcer looks at the other in the booth sometimes with a "did you just say that?" look lol
  10. My wife said the same thing last year when she took me golfing in Monterey for my birthday. She asked if I always take every shot so serious lol
  11. Shot a 78 (+7) from the tips my first time playing Shadow Lakes in Antioch, CA. Course was 6,700 yds, 72.0 rating, 136 slope. Drove the ball well all day, but man was it windy. Had a couple drives go 340+ with the wind and a few go as short as 250 into the wind. Final stats: 8 FIR/9 GIR/33 Putts 1 Birdie/9 Pars/8 Bogeys
  12. I like to keep track of some of the events they go through and then try to duplicate them on my home course during a practice round to see how I do. Makes for a fun side game with the buddies.
  13. I played the Pro-V1x for several years for this reason. I just switched to the Bridgestone Tour B330 (since I got a great deal on a large quantity of them lol) and I really like them. Plus they seem a bit more durable.
  14. I got paired up with a father and son (son was 18ish) and they were playing the tees in front of me. It wasn't a big deal to play from a different set, except when the son kept walking up to tee off right in front of me. I just don't think he understood the etiquette of letting the further player hit first.
  15. Shot a 77 (+5) today at Royal Vista (San Ramon, CA) from the blues. 6,500 yds, 71.6 rating, 125 slope. Had total command of the driver today. I felt like I could chose what blade of grass to land the ball on. I had a couple birdies on the par 5's, one was a 2 putt ;). Aside from pushing my wedges about 5-10 yds left from inside 100, I felt on all day. I didn't like the greens today though. Too soft/slow/bumpy compared to what I've been playing recently. I felt like I was robbed of 2 or 3 of my putts that bounced offline.
  16. Yell "Fore" if you might hit someone. Yell "Two" if you might hit them in the nuts...
  17. I've played a lot this year and this is the first season I've been serious about practicing. I've brought my index down from a 10.8 to a 4.8. Been hovering between 78-82 for my last 9 rounds. As soon as the bad thoughts go away when putting, I hope those scores will start to drop...
  18. Surprise her the day before your anniversary and take her out.
  19. Congrats! I'm still looking to lose the eagle cherry lol. Had a 25 footer a couple weeks ago that burned the lip...
  20. That may work in theory, but in practice it can mess up a relationship.
  21. My wife's buying me a set of blades next year for my birthday. I guess I'm tough to shop for so she jumped at the opportunity to get me something she know's I'll use and enjoy. Just tell your wife that you'd like a new set of irons for your anniversary...
  22. This grip is awesome. Good, firm feel in the hands. Mine's relatively new so it still has great tack to it to prevent any feeling of slippage.
  23. If the front nine takes anywhere near 3 hours there is no chance I finish the round. I'll walk off and make sure I stop in the clubhouse to let them know what I think of the job they're doing...
  24. Shot a +8 80 playing with my brother at Callippe Preserve in Pleasanton, CA. Struck the ball very well all day. Had a 20 footer for eagle on the third hole (that I didn't make), which was awesome to have such a good look at the big bird (I've never eagled, sort of a mental block thing). Had a stretch of 4 bogeys on the back where each one was just a slight mental mistake that I executed properly (bad shot choice into a green, poor club selection). Made a couple quality pars along the way for a solid round. Just didn't drop any putts today. 6 FIR, 9 GIR, 35 putts. You ever just feel in control on a given day? That's how I felt today.
  25. the odds of that guy being out there again can't be very good.
