"" …Question mark in the right place for you.. It's always a good ploy to move away from the subject matter of a posting when you haven’t got a reasoned intelligent response. Also your logo thing… I thing that sums up your IQ nicely. Not to mention your inability to express yourself without the use of vulgarity.. Suggest you clean up your own act before criticising others.

Yeah, I made it up. I should have been a novelist. I wasn't in tourist areas, I was just driving around the countryside and stayed overnight one weekend, while working across Hadrian's wall down in Manchester. You are the one who brought up Scotsmen who dislike Americans, I was just vouching for you. I didn't behave any differently there than in Australia, Canada, Bermuda, Barbados, Grand Cayman, or Ireland. Just got a noticeably cold reception. Maybe it was my clothes, who knows?

Looking for truth: Look elsewhere. You are a scottish redneck. You have to go and are not welcome at this forum in my humble yet truthful opinion. Take your petty grievances about America and the Syria involvement to a political forum.

As far as a stereotype, they left out the advice guy. I would say if I could remotely get into the category of one of these it would be that guy, just a little bit and the rage guy. Except I really only rage internally or when I am playing alone.

      after some years experimenting around, I've settled on a mixed bag of mostly Pat Simmons vintage Tiger Sharks (the ones with the blue enamal on back of the clubheads): 3 thru 9 iron, + 3 wedges (PW, sand, chipper). Those super heavy clubheads really help me get my swing down and thru the ball. Also I carry an old Taylor 18-degree rescue club, 17-degree and 14 degree ImagineGolf metalwoods, and the famous Pat Simmons "alien" 1-iron. Finally a real brick-on-a-stick, the big-headed Bettinardi Ben Hogan model putter which is excellent for taking the break out of short putts and getting the ball hole high on long ones. Wait....is that 15 clubs? Oh well....

      this topic brought to mind one my favorite golf-spectator memories. Back when, living in Santa Barbara CA, parked in my yellow cab just behind the 10th tee  (c. 380 yard par 4) at SB Muni golf course while eating lunch. A twosome comes by, and first up is this fat little mexican guy who takes a kinda squirelly practice swing, then addresses the ball and bashes a long, high, perfectly straight drive up to w/in about 5 yards of the green. Other guy is dressed to the 9's, pulls out what looks like a $300 driver....and hits a maybe 150-yard pop fly. Slams clubhead to the ground and yells, "it's fat! It's fat! Everything is fat today!!"  And that's how I learned what a "fat" shot is.
