I used to be a huge NBA fan, but it's all offense these days. It's just not that exciting for me anymore because I'm an old-school defensive kind of guy. I have followed the TWolves for more than a decade, mostly because of Kevin Garnett. I still cheer for them when they play, but I'm more interested in following KG with the Celtics. Hopefully he can help lead them to a title because he definitely deserves it.

Suns because of Steve Nash. The guy is all class; I saw him play as a high school student, and he was the same then as he is now. Money and fame haven't changes him at all.

This could not be further from the truth. I've seen Steve talk trash. He's not immune to it. What he does not do is bring attention to himself. Talk trash? With the best of them.

I played the Point postion so I've always been a fan of players who excel in that position such as Steve Nash, Jason Kidd, & Chris Paul. I believe Chris Paul deserves to be the MVP this year simply because the Hornets are not even predicted to be among the top teams in the West, yet they're one of the best out there. The main reason is Chris Paul's effectiveness in running plays in their system which translates to the team's chemistry.

Being born and raised in Cleveland, I've been a Cavaliers fan my entire life. Add the Browns, Indians and Buckeyes to that list. It would be nice to win something in my lifetime.

Cavs have been doing well,of course, since Lebron entered the league but I still prefer the Mark Price/Brad Dougherty days of my youth. I curse Jordan's Bulls as being the only team that really could beat them during that time.

I am a Bulls fan. I watched them occasionally back in the pre-Jordan days on WGN. When they drafted him out of UNC I was sold instantly. I had to suffer through the years of living in Detroit and supporting the "enemy." Fortunately I got the last laugh, or should I say the last 6 laughs. I have a Bulls logo tattooed on my right arm and my son's name is Jordan Michael. This has been a frustrating year watching them fall back after taking strides last year. Ben Wallace is a coach killer.

I took my wife and kids to the Pistons/Suns game last night and it was good to see some actual exciting NBA ball. It has gotten so slow and boring over the years. It was a great game. The Pistons won in overtime, with a little help from the refs. Shaq was getting mauled inside with no calls whatsoever. I am going again Saturday to get my first up close look at LeBron.

As much as I hated the Bulls for beating my team so many times, I still respected and appreciated what Jordan did on the court.

I'm very nervous about having Ben Wallace on my team now. He's past his prime and is only going to get worse. As long as he can focus only on D and play alongside Zydrunas, he won't be too bad. I am glad that Drew and Larry Hughes are no longer cavs. It was a pretty fair swap in my book. Both teams got rid of people that weren't helping. All the players involved needed new atmospheres.

Have fun checking Lebron out live. It's pretty nice to see in person. I went to a couple of his games when he was in High School and have been to many since he's been a Cav. Nobody will ever replace Jordan, but he's pretty exciting to watch.

LeBron is a phenomenal talent. I saw Jordan in person 20+ times, including 3 times in the old Chicago Stadium in 91, 92 and 93. Best sports venue I have ever been to. It was old, decrepid and loud as hell.

Wallace will be OK for you for now. You are contenders in the East. The problem is his ego. He will not accept the fact that he is arguably the worst offensive starter in the entire NBA over the last 10+ years. He wants the ball and hurts the team when he gets it. The problem is, he hurts more when he doesn't. Larry Brown used him well here in Detroit. He went to him a few times to start each game and kept him happy. His entire game has always been based on his physical ability. I said a few years ago that he would go from an All Star to a scrub when his body starts to slow down. When the Bulls signed him I was pissed, but cautiously optimistic. He still seemed to have something in the tank but they paid way too much for him. I hoped he could help them take the next step before his game crapped out. They did improve a lot last year and even won a series before losing to Detroit in the second round. Unfortunately his game and attitude went South when the younger Bulls started to eat into his minutes. He is a tough competitor but a cancer in the room. The good thing with Cleveland is that it's LeBrons team. No question about it. If I were Brown I would be concerned about my job. This guy has run off Rick Carlisle, Larry Brown, Flip Saunders (Pistons sided with Flip and let Ben go), Scott Skiles and was sabbotaging Boylan before the trade.

    • For such a nice membership, there have been some bad incidents in the past few years.  We had someone voted out a couple of years ago over something he did and he harassed the board members for three months until he moved out of the area.   Generally they’ve tried to do things like tournament handicaps and identify certain people who they know should be lower and adjust it somehow.  I can understand not wanting to go thru something like the guy who was voted out again i emailed the pro who forwarded it to the handicap committee.  They are going to see what can be done.  I walked someone thru what happened and they are going to nudge him to post the score from the match and see what he does.  Since he didn’t put anything in the electronic scoring past 13, based on how he played 14 and 15 plus having to take bogey on 16-18 for after he left, he should post 83.  We’ll see if it’s even higher,   Since he was really even thru 13, then doubled 14 and parred 15 my guess is he really shot 75 being generous and giving him 2 pars and a bogey on the three holes he didn’t play.    i shot 88, getting 16 shots for my course handicap which is net even and I lost on 13.  We do brackets where handicaps should be within 4-5 of each other.  Most matches only have 1-2 shots as a difference between players  neither of us posted the score yet.  There was something in the match play rules about whether or not to post your score.  I couldn’t remember if we were supposed to or not.  I don’t think he was going to post that, because even with his inflated score it would be the lowest score in his recent 20. Lucky I didn’t because they want to see what he does post and they don’t want me posting so he can try to calibrate his score.
