I'm most definitely a member of the "None in One" club. I haven't holed out very many shots from the fairway either... one perhaps? (Over 100 yards I mean.)

17 years without a hole in one. Never even been all that close either.

Three par 4 eagles though. 80 yards, 70 yards, and 160 yards.

Rolled over the edge for double eagle and ended up one foot once. I did make the putt!

I wonder when the first member to have a hole-in-one will join (or if he/she has already). Hmmm.

I think I may try to find a bunch of executive courses. You're bound to get a hole-in-one sooner if you play 9 or 18 par-3s at a time!

Can I change my vote?

Christmas Day of 2004 I got my very first hole-in-one! It was quite exciting. Number 8 at my course. 193 yards with water and a bunker left, slightly uphill, and one of the most undulating greens on the course, with about a half a club worth of a breeze. Pulled out my 5 iron. Hit it about as sweet as I could have with the swing I put on it. I couldn't see the ball hit the green because there was a bit of glare from the sun. (80 degrees with not a cloud in the sky. Can't beat winter in L.A.) So I'm walking towards the green and I don't see a ball. I was pretty confident that it didn't hit it long. I get close enough to the green to see my ball mark, and I'm thinking to myself, "that's in just about the right spot to be..." As I'm finishing that though I'm peeking over the edge of the cup, and there it is! My Prov1 number 7 with my red and blue dots. So you ever elusive hole-in-one, I've got your number now!

Bummer that you couldn't see it, but congratulations! I'll have an amaretto sour, thank you.

I have been within 3 feet a couple of times. Both were pin high. Oh well...

It'd be tough to be anything but pin high within three feet.

I mean, maybe I'm strange, but anything within 10 feet short or long is "pin high" to me.

My course has four par threes measuring (in order):
4: 175 yards
8: 210 yards
12: 150 yards
14: 165 yards

They've got some elevation changes, so the 150 plays about 10 yards shorter (they can stretch it to 180 if they want though) and the 165 on the back can play 185 and is also downhill.

Anyway, I put my tee shots on 4 and 14 today to a combined total of six feet. One was three feet right, the other three feet behind and left. Argh!

I'm not sure what I would have done if I'd have gotten a hole in one today. I'd have had no witness!

February 2nd, 9th round in 5 days, about 3pm at South Course in the PGA Village in Port St Lucie FL.... 6ht hole, 164 par 3. ACE !
First ever, after 6 years of playing. Picture perfect. Best thing - course was backed up, got 2 groups lined up behind me to watch and cheer and my Head Pro from my course was playing with me.
Too bad I play like s(*$t this round, it will look awfull to frame that scorecard with an 89 on it... I don't care though, it was sweet
