What did you score on your first hole ever?

I par'd believe it or not. I hit a very low drive that carried about 120 yards and rolled for 100. Hit my approach shot over the green, then chipped it within a foot and tapped it in for par.

It was a short par 4 and I think that I scored an 8 or 9, en route to a 175 first round total. I will never forget that wonderful day.

I started playing when I was a little kid. It likely took me 20+ shots just to get to the green 470yds away!

I remember getting to the point that I could make it to my dad's drive on my second shot. Man was that a rush! Now, 25+ years later, I asked my dad if he gets that same rush when his second shot reaches my drive. LOL, he doesn't find that question funny at all.

It was a 485 yard par 5, straight as an arrow..I remember worrying "How the hell was I gonna get the ball all the way down there" lol.

I think I was 2 or 3 over par

Last year in July time,I had been practising a lot on the range and had played the odd short course or two.

I decided not to count up my score as it was my first time on a 6000+ course.This particular course has a first hole length of 521 yds,so a baptism of fire.
Hit first drive high and to the right,then did it again.Lost four balls on that first hole and ended up with an 11,although it may have been more as I lost count after losing that many balls.

Funny enough was at the same course this week and just shaved the hole for par,so i'm glad I stuck with it.

I bogeyed the first hole that I played, on in 3 and a 2 putt, but that was the only hole lower than double bogey.

My first hole was recorded by my mother at a small executive course in DisneyWorld, FL. I can't watch it after the three straight dribbled tee shots off the tee.

However, I parred the final hole after my chip on sat 6 inches away from the cup.

And a new addiction was born.

Mine was 4 years ago at age 52. 500 yard par 5 with a small pond on the right side of the tee box that extended only about 40 yeards past the box and wide open the rest of the way. I shanked my drive into the water and ended up with an 9.

as a FULL lefty, I can remember it from last year.

Cant really remember my first hole from back in the righty days.

Traveled to visit dad, first official time hitting the lefty driver on a course. Not a left friendly course at all. First tee they said "keep the ball on the left side as it funnels down to the right quite a bit".

I sliced that bad boy WAY out of play, triple bogey on the par 4.

Next hole par 3, hit a beauty of an 8 iron in a very strong wind, 2 putt for a par. Played 8-9 rounds over the next 2 weekends of that trip. Started playing pretty well by the time it was over.

Had enough omg, where did that come from? ... bliss type of shots that started to get me hooked.

I have no idea, it was around 25 years ago and I am sure it was a big number, the golf course seemed huge when I was 10 years old.

There were not enough beads on the abbacus so I gave up and waited in the bar.

After a few trips to the range I returned a few weeks later and did it in 8 (par 5)

my pops took me to a pitch and putt. It was a 105 yard hole. I hit a 9 iron over the green. tried to chip a sand wedge..but i had no touch or clue what touch was.... i hit it REALLY hard..but got so lucky that it hit the flag and dropped down about 2 feet from the cup. i tapped it in for par and thought:

this game's easy... I WAS SO WRONG!
