Who here uses a G10? I've heard good things about them, seem to be a very popular driver. What do you guys think about them?

They are a gift from the heavens.....

Seriously.....I'm enjoying mine. It is a much easier club to hit than my prior driver....a Talylor made 300. The shaft was a huge improvement, too, as it fits my swing speed better.

This is my first 460cc headed driver. I simply buy the 3 1/4" tees now and tee the ball well up....equator slightly above the top line....play the ball off my left heel and take a smooth pass at it with a balanced finish. The results are impressive. No work needed to get good distance.

I'm very happy with the club.

I'll warn you, though, the V2 shaft is a light one indeed. If you are a someone with a high swing speed then I recomend the Graffaloy ProLaunch shaft.....for me, though, the V2 is perfect.

I play one. I love it. I played a Cobra from 07 before that. It was a good driver. It was the most forgiving driver I had ever tried. Eventually the sound just got to me. So I went and demo'd every single driver I could find. I narrowed it down to 3. Ping G10, Callway FT-5, and Nike Sumo2. Came away with the Ping, although I would have been happy with everyone of them. Just really liked the Ping's feel a little more.

My buddy just bought a new g10 driver. He went and got on a launch monitor and was custom fitted for it. I consistantly outdrive him with my 2004 Big Bertha 3-Wood!!!! It is the indian, not the arrows............

I got one several weeks back after taking advice from my pro about needing more loft on my old driver (was hitting a D1 7.5*) I went to my local Golf Galaxy and eventually was fitted for the G10 9* with the Prolaunch Red. I probably have 12-15 rounds on it now, and can tell you that I have very mixed feelings about it. The performance is much better then my D1 was when it comes to off center and mishits. The distance is probably a wash for those pure strikes. The feedback/feel has been very difficult for me to get comfortable with. The D1 just had a much purer (if that's a word) feel - but since you can't argue with results, nor score "feel" on the card - its most likely going to be in the bag a while. At least until I demo the 909...

Feel and feedback aren't something that I get from my G10.

A hit low on the face will show up in a low runner. An extreme to hit will show up as a slightly.....very slightly reduced distance drive.

Anything else with a moderate swing through the ball ellicits a "crushed-it" butter feel.

My old driver gave me lots of feedback.....so did my playing partners....they kept saying, "You're away".

All I wanted was good yardage....more carry....more accurate. The accuracy is coming along as I learn more how to swing this long club smoothly. The yardage and carry are all but guaranteed.

Now the feedback I mostly get from my playing partners is "Nice drive".

I demoed one, it wasn't that special. It hit exactly like my old taylor made quad. It's a very nice looking club though. I noticed that it's long, but not as forgiving as many other new drivers.

I had the G5, it was a 13.5 degree and my swing was starting to get better, hence the reason I was ballooning it. So I went out and tried to hunt down a new driver. I liked my G5, but the new one didn't have to be a Ping. I tried the Burner (really liked it), tried the R7 Superquad (couldn't stand the feel of it), and I tried the Titleist 907D2 I think it was and also the Cobra F-Speed. Then I picked up the G10, and that was the one that felt best to me...So, that's what I chose. I love it, works well for me when I make a good swing. The forgiveness is AMAZING. I have many times where I heel it or toe it and my playing partners say 'great shot' because the ball flight is still great and it goes very good distance for a 'miss.'

I suggest trying other drivers though. I was going to get the R7 Superquad just based on appearence, because I love the look of it, then I felt it and swung it and it just wasn't for me.

i do. i jus bought the g10 driver, and two hybrids 21 and 24 degree
they are the smoothest hitting club i have ever touched
more carry in the air, and more roll on the ground
no way else to descrive it but amazing

I have one and I love it, I consistantly hit it 290-320 yds. Sometimes on the long holes I take a real rip at it and i can get it 340 but, you should like it it's the most popular driver at my country club (besides the 2007 burner).
