Check your local community college. I took a class through mine that was $70 for 14 hours of instruction ( 7 Saturday mornings) and was taught at a local course that has a Golf Studio which normally charges $65 an hour for lessons if you didn't go through the college. I know this isn't 1 - 1 lessons, but my class size was 7 and I felt I received the appropriate attention and help that I needed. Liked it so much I signed up for another round and figure going over the fundamentals again can only be beneficial to the game.

I've paid a fairly wide range. One place has full video analysis plus you actually hit out into a range. Very nice setup. It ran from $85-$100 an hour depending on who you got and if you bought a package.

This spring I took a set of four for $130 not including balls. So about $30 a lesson for half hour session. They were from this real old time PGA guy. Place was a dump but he really knew his stuff and helped tremendously. Kind of a diamond in the ruff.

The guy I went to about 5 years ago was $50 an hour. He is the best in the area and is on Golf Magazines 'top 100' list. He might be a little more than that now, but still very reasonable for who it is and the quality of instruction.

I will judge my rounds much more by the quality of my best shots than the acceptability of my worse ones.

$110. Less if you buy in bulk.

I think the guy I take lessons from charges $50 half an hour, so $100 an hour. But I've been taking lessons from him since I was 11 years old and he gives me way more lessons than my father is paying him for.

I pay $125 a lesson. But my lessons usually run 1.5hrs or possibly a little longer. Includes range hitting and often times if the course isn't busy on the course work.

I've been working with the same guy for about 3 years and he keeps dropping his price. We started at $35 1/2 hr and are down to $25. Week after next, I'm taking a week off work and meeting with him everyday for a half hour a day and all he is charging me is $75 for the week.
