I have been gaming a Purefit DC tour with a new image silver image shaft for the last few months and I love the driver. If i put a good swing on the ball, I am rewarded with an excellent shot. THe problem is that I don't get much height out of it. I watch others and the ball gets to the tops of the tree's or slightly lower. Mine doesn't get nearly that high. Now I get excellent distance, total distance is (GPS tested) 230~275 with the norm around 250-260. I am very happy with that and comparing it to my other clubs (full 7 iron around 155 on average) I feel that is appropriate.

I have taped the club head and generally a good hit results in a pretty close to center of the head impact. I tee the ball up so the equator of the ball is at the top of my driver, and i line it up off my front arch.

What can people do to help me increase my launch angle.

For those that don't know the brand of the head and shaft the head has been tested at 10.5 degrees of loft and is 1.5 degrees closed. The shaft is a mid torque (3.9), 80 gram shaft, mid flex point with no tip trimming.

In my bag:

some golf clubs

a few golf balls

a bag of tee's some already broken the rest soon to be

a snickers wrapper (if you have seen me play, you would know you are not going anywhere for a while)

and an empty bottle of water

Check your setup carefully at address to make sure you are not de-lofting the club.

what do you mean by p-rods?

Pissrods, frozen ropes, liners, wizzbangers, loop-dee-doops without the loop, pissers, screamers, etc lol (ok alittle carried away but a very low, line drive...great distance and a ton of roll-out)

Get a higher lofted driver. For many years I played with a 13.5* Ping G5. I drove it pretty far with that thing too, and only missed a fairway or two a round.

I was doing this exact same thing, before I went to golftec and saw my mistakes.

What I was doing was getting ahead (my big head lol) of the ball at impact, pushing off with my right (rear) foot too early in the downswing.

I concentrated on keeping my head BEHIND the ball at impact, yet still have your hands ahead of the ball at impact.

Bam, higher drives instantly! (No I'm not bald •••••••ss)

I still don't see the problem... you hit frozen ropes consistently 250-260 yards. Maybe I don't understand just how low your drives are but with the trees around here, a drive that high is way too high.

When I hit a low ball with the driver this is what causes it, great tip.

the 80 gram shaft will help produce a lower ball flight. Also, If you are hitting the ball with a descending blow, that will also cause a lower ball flight. I have a lower ball flight as well, but when I want to hit it higher, I put the ball forward in my stance, tee it up a little more, and focus on hitting the ball on the up-swing. Sometimes I hit my longest drives like this.

My swing thoughts:

- Negative thinking hurts more than negative swinging.
- I let my swing balance me.
- Full extension back and through to the target. - I swing under not around my body. - My club must not twist in my swing. - Keep a soft left knee
